i dressed from 5-20 then tried to man up till 25 then went full time 2 months then got a job i had to hide it in till i was 28 then i was placed in a crazy house for doing drugs as i was treating depression with pot in there i got clean and asked myself why i smoked i was depressed and then said why is that well i was unhappy i was living a lie i was fake 24/7 i was scared to be me. so i faced it head on and looked deep
and thought ok ill go to the main boss and ask if i could dress in my free time she said she understood and in 6 months i could dress full time. that was great by the end of the day i had walking papers dated for 6 months from that day.so my race to prep started i came out to my family and started seeing a dr weekly i was all ready on hormones 3 months so i started to get ready the day after i was fired i took my last trip as stephen the next day i started dressing full time and 4 days in on my way to dr i got my ears pierced and a month later i started group dr with other trans-people and started live recovery meetings .
my dad don't like it and has told me i killed his son and i am jumping in to a pool with no water
my mom loves me more now as she has a shopping friend and we get our nails done i have been clean 5 months and i couldn't be happier

Looks like a real roller-coaster ride. I just have a couple of questions because I'm not sure I understood correctly.

At one point you said that your boss said you could go full time after 6 months, and that seems to come across as a positive, then later you talk about the day after you got fired. Are the two things related? If so, how was it a positive to lose your job?

Tara...you have had a rough road and yes, as a few are saying, a roller coaster ride. Life itself is a roller coaster ride, and the positives that we do can always outweigh the negatives. Its great that you conquered your demon and you have been sober for 5 months - wonderful news!

That was short and sweet and too the point.
What an adventure - good and bad - its like an Indiana Jones story.
And you're HAPPY! Just like Indy who always wins in the end!

But you, like Indy, probably have more adventures ahead. So, if there's any baldness in your older family - parents or grandparents, be sure to start finasteride or dudasteride or minoxidile or some combo of them to make sure you keep your hair until after SRS if that's on your adventure list.

Hugs,
