OK I wear a size 12/13 mens which means 14/15 womens. Are there any like local kind of stores, that get above a 11 womens. I would really prefer to actually try them on.On line search of payless, sears, goes to 11. On line search get you to drag quenn stores, starting at 4" heels. Flats, 1 or 2 inch heels to start, I just don't want 4" or greater for my first pair.

Have you tried JCPenny? I know they have sizes up to ladies 11W with less than 4" heels.

I know what you mean about trying them on first. Link to my tread.

I know that a couple of theres places with have 4 inch tall heels. Pierre Silber has a good selection to chose from.

As far as local retail I think you are in the same boat as I am. Not much out there for us that go 12+ in womens.

As far as 4 inch heels and I seen you want to start out lower, but 4 for you or me really isn't to bad. I look around some more see if I can figure out who has low or flats.

Check this out maybe, If you called them about a larger shoe size they might be able to get it.

hi girls, I wear 9 1/2 to 10 men's, usually EEE because I have high insteps. My heels are 11, and a bit long I think, the girl who fitted me thought they were fine. Once she got over the initial surprise of fitting slightly ****ty shoes on a mature 6'1" 235 pound guy, she got right into it. Tried to sell me a matching clutch. I sometimes drop by a local liquidation centre, and last night they had one pair of killer calf-high patent boots. Size 10. I could squeeze into them but they were too small. I tried a wonderfully decadent pair of patent thigh highs, size 11, which I could slip into fine, but couldn't do up the zipper because of my high instep. I have been seeing some end-of -season sandals, some very sexy. size is less an issue with them. wenda.

I wear a size 12 in mens and the last time I tried on a pair of pumps I grabbed a size 12 and they fit. They were a little tight but not bad so I am thinking that a size 13 would do great. But I have very narrow feet, which I think makes a difference. when I buy mens shoes I look for 12 narrow or I order them so that they will fit right. I have also in the past worn size 10 and 11 so I makes a big difference in the style of the shoe as well. No matter if they are mens or womens. That is why I am really leaning toward not ordering shoes online and just getting them locally instead.

not all the time, i wear a size 10 mens shoe but can fit into a size 10 womens sandal, either heels or thongs. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and try them on in the store, or if by mailorder, check their return policy

Hi...I have the same problem, except my shoe size is more like 13/14.

I couldn't find anything!

Finally I decided to try men's black leather open-back clogs. They make them in sizes up to about men's 15....and finding them is a snap, either on the web or in trendy shoe stores. Here's one link:

http://www.clogsonline.com/IBS/SimpleCat/Shelf/ASP/Hierarchy/0C0E.html

Believe me, when you''re in a dress and stockings --or even a cute top and jeans -- these are feminine, comfortable and big enough for any foot!

Good luck

Online order shoes from payless have arrived.
Ripped open the box, didn't even rempve my sweatsox, figured I need to stretch them a little,(mens 12 ordered womens 13)
Soemthing must be wrong with my imported mens shoes womens 13 fit with sweatsocks. OK a little narrow in the front, but loose in the heel.
Glad I ordered 1 1/2 heels, haveing a little walking problem. And these are wide heels.

Thanks for everyones help.
