I am 55 years of age, I used to smoke, drink heavy, and have a problem with who I was. I have just booked a holiday in Lanzarote 2 weeks in a big private villa, me and my wife (who accepts my dressing), we both work for a big company and have got great bonuses for 2012(just in the bank), I am in my 25th year of a final salary pension, I have not smoked for 4 years now, and run 3-5 miles a day. I play football for my company team any and have just been accepted for a local league 5 a side team. My wife has won a trip to Rio Brazil for her hard work, I was 13 stone, now 10, life cannot get any better, just to let you know life is not all doom and gloom, Oh I do drink at weekends .LOL

Life is what you make it Debs and you have done something about making it a lot better. Well done.

My epitaph, ‘life is for having fun’ but it looks like you already know that.:)

Debs,
Keep the drinking social and keep good.
Play the sport and lack of smoking helps.
The doctors are reticent about operating on smokers.
Be like me, stay alive longer.
All the best to you.
