Most CDs don't dress every day. Some of us dress once a week, a month, or even less often. That can keep our dressing fresh, interesting and exciting.:D
Still, there's only one "first time" for anything. So, how many times can u throw on that same make up, outfit, etc., etc., and still feel that "first time" electricity?

Fortunately, in our "business" there's a virtually endless amount of firsts!:heehee: The first time u put on; nylons, undies, heels, a girdle, a wig, forms, etc., etc. Then, a complete outfit and u saw that woman in your mirror for the first time!:daydreaming:

U can continue going along this direction of firsts. First; ball gown, prom dress, wedding dress, bathing suit, bikini, corset, earings, nail color, etc., etc.:battingeyelashes:

Where do u go from there? Out, of course! For some, u want to shop at Macy's or go out to dinner dressed. For me, it's out to meet other girls at; clubs, conventions, or just out for drinks. Or, u can dress for outdoor activities. Wear your bathing suit to the pool or beach. Ride your bike, play tennis, or ski en fem.

I'm old. I don't have that much time left. So, it's important for me even tho I reach a comfortable CD level to keep pushing and stretching myself. Otherwise, I mite discover too late that I missed something I mite have really LOVED!

Along with plans to attend this year's DLV and probably the SCC, I'm planning on participating in RWR. A rubber dolls convention!:o
I don't even own any clothing made of rubber! It's not my thing. However, I'm intrigued about meeting the "dolls" there. Mostly all CDs. Another "first" for me! To see what they're really like. I've been consistently impressed by the CD/TG/TS girls I've met so far. And, that's become the main reason I go out dressed.:hugs:

But, that's just me. What about u? Maybe u don't care about pushing your envelope? Maybe u don't get bored doing the same things? Maybe comfort is more important to u? Maybe dressing alone provides enuff "thrills" to satisfy u? :)

Or, maybe u r like me. And, u r continually challenging yourself to do more and see what that feels like?

I am like you getting on in life and love doing things and streaching one's self as well. I do go out but not often but last weekend, I got dressed and felt like doing something a bit different. I have been to shopping malls and walk around some. We have a big one here and lots of girls do go there. This time I was in the mode to go into a store or two rather than just window shop. I have several dress that I love but have always wanted to sweater dress. So I drove to the Mall got out went in, walk around a bit, stopped at Macy's store looked around for their sweater dress and found one I really like. It was more than the national debt so hung it back and left. Stopped at Nordstrom and looked their stock over found about the same thing there and left. I just didn't feel right spending that much on what I had found. So walked around a bit more just enjoying being there. I then left the mall and started home, just then I got an idea to go to one of the many Kohls stores. Good idea went in walked thru the women's dresses and low and behold there was a sweater dress that looked exactly like the one at Macy's in my size, and was on clearance and Plus had a 30% discount card. So I prance right over to the check out with the dress and my card, kind of forgetting I was dress, so excited was I. The check out gal smiled and asked if I had found everything I needed. I said I sure and am so thrilled at the price because I had been looking for one a long time. She checked me out and said wear it in good health. I left the store and went right home tried it on, it fit prefect, then went to a movie, was one big evening for me. So I would say do those kinds of things while you have the time.. diane b

I guarantee that if James Bond were a crossdresser RS, he would never run out of "firsts", especially if "Q" (or Ms "Q") had anything to say about it. It's us to us to keep things fresh in any case. ;):)

Hi Sherry, I dress every day and I still get that wonderful feeling.

Oh yes, RS! I continually want to do just a bit more. However, wife is strongly opposed--so i don't get the Ok to do much. Photographs, shopping, support group, Dunes TG Weekend in April.
Its like any hobby to which you are devoted. Plenty...is not...enough.

I went blond like Gaga today (McDonalds for breakfast & large hardware shop), fun, but not really me.
Next weeks adventure not yet thought out, maybe rock climbing?

The 'first time' thrill that I get is when I actually find something I like, and it really fits me. After that, I still enjoy every time I put it on, loving the 'I'm a girl' visual and tactile feedback I get from wearing girl clothes.

That wig looks like a moment of madness, a strawberry blond wig or similar I think would be more suitable for you.

I have at least eight blonde wigs, the darker of which look more "realistic" though my latest has visible roots on purpose to make it look more "natural" so I'm told. But, that said, I also have a number of darker wigs as well in different length and sizes, "to suit any occasion."

Personally, I like the wig, Rachel. But, would u mind if I interrupt in order to get back to the OP at hand?

How we keep our dressing exciting? Or, don't!?

You're right. The thrill of the 'first' has worn out for me. Luckily or maybe unluckily depending on your perspective, I actually do get to dress every day. Can't for work, but before and after, I'm in the comfy clothes. I go out on the weekends to shop and I've been to the clubs though mostly TG friendly.

I'm now in the persuit of blending in with the crowd. The closer to that that I can get to the better I feel. So far, there isn't much of any 'firsts' that I want to do. I've been daywalking and nightwalking... I think that when the butterflies left me is the day I just felt 'normal' in dressing in the comfy clothes and went on with my errands.....

I'm also well away of the 'thrill of the chase' and do get a little edgy or tingly when I do a first.

Thanks for the thread....

I stick with simple thrills. Putting together outfits is fun and exciting for me. Selecting an item I want to wear and then selecting things that compliment it is a great experience. It is very satisfying when I see the result and get to enjoy wearing it for hours. I recently bought a new wig and I've been figuring out how to style it properly. This stuff may be old hat for GGs, but for me it is rocket science!

Once I'm all put together, made up, and styled I'm ready to have a great time just being me!
