I finally did it, I went out in public, dressed for my first time yesterday.
Yes, I was nervous, but a friend told me just show a little confidence and it worked.
I started the day with getting my eyebrows sculpted and a facial, the staff was very friendly.
Next it was to Macy's, where they did my makeup, a little nervous, but the sales lady was very nice and supportive, remain confident.
Then to a local beauty supply and salon business, where I tried on wigs in a salon full of women all getting their hair, ( cat in a room full of rocking chairs) comes to mind.
The sales girl was very professional and polite and I remained confidant that I could do it, I wore the wig out.
I drove home, got dressed and went shopping at kmart for a new outfit.
Took my new skirt and top home and changed into them.
I took a photo of me and when I looked at it, I thought dang, there's my younger sister looking at me with a few more years on her, lol.
Ate some dinner, looking back, I should have went out to eat.
Then went to a gay friendly club in another city, Had a couple of glasses of wine, met some lovely, supportive people and danced a bunch. Whew! I was tired.
What a wonderfully, lovely day.
Hooray! I did it
