I finally did it, I went out in public, dressed for my first time yesterday.
Yes, I was nervous, but a friend told me just show a little confidence and it worked.
I started the day with getting my eyebrows sculpted and a facial, the staff was very friendly.
Next it was to Macy's, where they did my makeup, a little nervous, but the sales lady was very nice and supportive, remain confident.
Then to a local beauty supply and salon business, where I tried on wigs in a salon full of women all getting their hair, ( cat in a room full of rocking chairs) comes to mind.
The sales girl was very professional and polite and I remained confidant that I could do it, I wore the wig out.
I drove home, got dressed and went shopping at kmart for a new outfit.
Took my new skirt and top home and changed into them.
I took a photo of me and when I looked at it, I thought dang, there's my younger sister looking at me with a few more years on her, lol.
Ate some dinner, looking back, I should have went out to eat.
Then went to a gay friendly club in another city, Had a couple of glasses of wine, met some lovely, supportive people and danced a bunch. Whew! I was tired.
What a wonderfully, lovely day.
Hooray! I did it

Congratulations. Must easier than you thought, right? I really prefer to do the makeup myself. It's part of the transformation that makes the biggest difference and I like the process.

Where about in Idaho are you?

That's not just stepping outside on the back porch at 2 AM, that's jumping in with both feet and sticking the landing! Good for you in breaking down the door for yourself and probably breaking barriers for others with your full day of activity.
