How much do you play around with makeup and such.. I dont get to practice much on myself if I am not at work then I am usually doing something else. I dont get alot of time to myself. My wife thinks I am a little odd since I like watching her put on her makeup.. I will even pay a little more attention to a TV show if I see happen to see a woman putting on makeup..

I dont have any children.. my daugthers would probably be horribly spoiled with clothers and makeup.. :) However I do have nieces, cousins etc etc...
The younger girls will actually come to me and ask me to paint their nails or something like that.. Of course I dont mind.. :) I will often paint my wifes toes.. she loves it..

I have often thought of getting a training as a makeup artist or something. I wouldnt really want a job like that in a publice place though. Also I have not found any place anywhere close to where I live that had such training. :(

Hi Candy

Trial an error with a little bit of advice thrown in works wonders

I assume your wife has no idea about your dressing considering you watch her but do not ask ?

Candy,
I as well would love to learn more about make up. Who do we ask? I know that I have always paid attention to women and thier clothes, make up etc. Now I find that I really study them. I look at alot of still pictures and try to see how and why each face has different styles. Highlight this part, shadow this part etc. Try the beauty forum here. Seems like there are many tips!

yes there are alot of tips in the beauty section of this forum they are great.
I have actaully found a site called makeup talk.. I just recently found this site so I dont know how good it actually is.

Shelly.. what a great name.. My wifes name is Michele..
actually she knows somewhat.. when we were going out I used to wear her panties.. (I lived with her for a while before we got married) .. I would try to use the excuse I didnt have an clean boxers.. she knew better though..
She doesnt really approve but she has an idea.

Hi Candy

Greetings and salutations to a fellow Hoosier. I'm very lucky, I have the best wife in the world, and she taught me everything I know about doing my make-up. I have to say that I got it down pretty good now. Tammy is right, the beauty forum should be able to help you. Once you get started you just have to play around with it and practice. Don't be afraid about making mistakes, it washes off and you try, try again.

MAC will do in-home make-up session. There's also lots of info online. Remember GGs aren't born knowing how to do make-up either, so if you look at sites/books aimed at teenage girls, you'll find various primers on how to do it. And as mentioned, the Beauty section of the forum has lots of tips and links.

i have been very facinated lately with my make up.i have been watching shows on the tv which deal with make up or make over and also watching some of the different newscasters on cnn to study their make up ecspecially the eyes.but the only real way is trial and error.

Remember that not all make-up is created equal.
Some eye shadows go on easy some hard. Some lipsticks are wet some not to.. etc etc.. Practice and experiment. Mix and match lipsticks things.. But keep it as simple as possible. You are a blank sheet of paper.. Have fun..
