How should I dress for Belly Dancing?

Hi Ladies,

Next week I'm taking a one on one belly dancing session and I'm debating between a unitard or a leotard and tights. The instructor is fine with both. What do you girls think??

What makes you most comfortable is the what you should wear.

I think belly dancing is about showing your belly. Neither a unitard or leotard will do that.

Since it will take more than 1 lesson you will be able to wear both. Eventually you will need a belly dance costume. Tights and a crop top would also work in the beginning.

First up you need the right belly.
Leotard and tights would be my preference.
I always feel comfortable wearing that combination when exercising and doing movement classes.
