Backpackers hostel

Hi,

I called a backpackers hostel and asked about staying in a female dorm, but was told it is not allowed. Has anyone ever stayed at backpackers hostel en femme in a mixed dorm?

The decision is purely financial - much cheaper staying at dorm (£18-24/night) compared to hotel or single occupant room hostel.

Concern is changing to drab mode late at night and going back en femme early in the morning. Would that be a problem?

Appreciate any advice.

That is one aspect of dressing that requires a private room.
Do not even bother going there.
You will only cause grief for yourself.
Just pay the extra, Holiday inns have rooms for £40 on special internet prices.

If you are in with a bunch of hens, it will be obvious that you are a rooster. Trust me on this.:)
