Just curious is anyone has flown pretty on Southwest Airlines. Any problems?

I flew from Oakland, California to Las Vegas a couple of years ago on Southwest. No issues with them. I got one of those full pat downs by the TSA because the steel boning in my Flexee waist cincher set off the alarm. I didn't wear that on the return trip. They were total professionals. On the return, the first TSA agent at the start of the security process didn't know what to do with my male ID and pic with my female presentation. Another agent came over and helped her to let me enter. He then escorted me to the to the inspection area where you put all your stuff in those bins and asked me a lot of questions regarding transitioning. Nice guy. Other than that my trip was great and that security process was no problem and worth the effort to have fun. The main issue will be your own self confidence and your ability to handle unexpected obstacles.

I have flown Southwest a number of times without any problems or incidences with the counter personnel, flight attendants or passengers, and the same goes with the TSA agents at the airports. This includes a few places perhaps assumed not to be as TG-friendly or TG-savvy as some (e.g., Indianapolis, St. Louis, Chicago). I had one very quick and respectful pat down of my hair in St. Louis and that is it. I also have a California ID with an obvious female picture so that may help at the TSA ID check area. Appearing and sounding comfortable and confident goes a long way to making the entire process smooth and easy as possible.

Here is the link to my adventures on Southwest. http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?173261-I-did-it!-Where-do-I-go-to-get-my-Fly-En-Femme-Club-pin&highlight=

I flew out of Houston. Everybody -- the rental car bus driver, the Southwest Counter, TSA (were outstanding), the gate folks and the flight attendants were all SUPER and treated me with dignity and respect.

Enjoy your adventure!

Upgrade your ticket so you get to be in the "A" line and then you don't have to climb over some clown in row 28.

I do not fly pretty anywhere.
I love AMTRAK.

I don't know - pretty heels and cattle-call boarding doesn't seem to mix well to me.

Upgrade to business class, you avoid the long line, your check is more lax (DFW is an exception) and sit first.

When I last flew to Phoenix for electrolysis at Senza Pelo Med Spa and I was dressed as follows: Stud ear rings both ears,Yoga boot cut pants, v neck t-shirt, panties, bra, ankle socks and tennis shoes all women's and woman's jacket. I take off the jacket and shoes and place them on the belt along with my man bag/purse. Now i have four days of beard on my fair and no makeup as I am going directly to the table when I arrive in AZ. I notice my purple toe nail polish is slightly visible through the thin white ankle socks. I step in and raise my arms and spread my feet, the machine scans me and I step out. The female TSA agent looks at the screen and says "I must have pressed the wrong button" and the male TSA agent says I need to look at your watch madame. My bra has an underwire cradling my early female puberty small AA breasts (thanks to E for 3 months) and I was not wearing forms. I thought my look was pretty androgynous, but I will take a madame any day. On the trip back I noticed that with a smooth swollen face and dressed pretty much the same way the TSA agent had hit the female form on the machine. Again only check was my ladies white watch. Traveling is such a non-event, people are just interested in getting to their plane.

If you get on the plane and they "read" en flight, they eject you at 25,000 feet without a parachute. Tough crowd, them Southwest crews.
Seriously, I've only flown once semi pretty and had no problems at all.
