Flew pretty to Austin

Just came back from a trip to visit some friends. Had a great time! They know about me and was dressed the whole time.

Now to the point. I flew dressed and didn't have one problem, related to dressing anyway. On the way back I had on a shirt that had some plastic clear sparklies on it. This got me the full manual patdown and hand explosives swab after the scanner. The TSA agent was very polite and proper, I was ma'amed and had no issues. She told me it was because of the sparklies on my shirt. I didn't press for more info just figured I'd pass it on so those who fly pretty and wanna remain low profile can benefit from my experience.

Rarely fly pretty anyway.
Never any worries.
When flying international it is all my electronic gear and associated wiring that gets them interested.
They pull it apart and I re pack it.

I think the Austin airport is pretty used to gurls flying pretty - or at least one gurl in particular!

Good for you! I'm glad it all went well.
I'm so about to do that in a couple of months. I'm just gonna go en femme and use my regular driver's license for ID, it's male. I will present as female.....so what? My hair is already long enough in the photo that it looks girly enough.

Anyone who flies pretty gets my vote.:thumbsup:....you did it!

For those who don't know:
Fly pretty = dress as female
That means you have to get through TSA, or airport security gate, and board on the plane.
