gently persuading winter to LEAVE

Here we are in the latter part of April and it still is COLD...even here in middle Tn. So I came up with a way to hopefully give ol' Mother Nature a clue. I just swapped my winter wardrobe of all of my boots, sweaters, turtlenecks, etc. for my spring/ summer faves..... sandals, tank tops , sundresses shorts and the like. Think she'll get the messege??? LOL Hpoe everyone is doing well!

I'm still wondering when the snow will LEAVE. There were snow flurries in the air (although it didn't accumulate on the ground) here as recently as last Friday (4/19).

Erickka, I do truly hope your wardrobe trick helps hasten the arrival of warmer weather, but I used to have a friend who would turn off the furnace in his house on the first of March every year because he had heard someplace that it is considered the beginning of meteorological spring. I remember going to his place for supper once when we literally had to eat with our gloves on. :)

You and me both, Diane! It was snowing here again today. I so want to get OUT again! But ice-slick roads/sidewalks and heels are a recipe for disaster! :eek:

Yes here in London, today was the first really warm day we`ve had for a long time. Unfortunately the weather is`nt supposed to last very long! :(

Here in London its nice today but we had snow last Sun and its still a cool long winter this year. But last year we had summer in March. This time of year Canadians take what they get cause they can''t change it. Look for crocuses and daffodils they raise my spirits.

I got up today with frost on the roof of the house, heavy frost on the car windows. Below freezing, but, it is threatening to warm up. It is sunny. I decided to wear a floor length Merona red and white sleeveless sundress today. I intend to do some yard work in the flower beds. I may have to put on my red hooded sweat shirt to keep warm, but, I will not let Jack Frost get the best of the day.
