a few weeks ago i posted saying how depressed i was.......you ladies were wonderful and helped me through a bad time
then this weekend my daughter came home from uni for the weekend, as usual. she walks in and whilst my wife is out of the room she tells me there is a surprise in her room hidden..... i went into her room where she told me, surprise surprise, my wonderful daughter had bought me 3 pairs of tights and some new high heels, the first i have owned.....
i couldnt believe it then as we were chatting later on she asked me what styles of clothing i liked as she was going to buy me some dresses
then she told me she had told her best friend who comes round to our house that i am a transvestite, and her response was, `how cool is your dad`
i have always felt like a freak......not anymore with support from you wonderful ladies and friends

It seems the world is slowly turning towards acceptance. Your daughter and her friend, are fine examples of the future generations outlook on life.

I'm so glad that things are looking up for you, and that you have some support from your daughter! That is fantastic. I was worried about you after your prior post. I'm so glad life is better for you!

My ex wife told my 2 daughters the real reason we divorced. And they are very cool with it! (Although I still feel embarassed over it.) They still love their Dad though and our relationships are just fine! I think we have to accept the idea that today's generation is far more enlightened than what I grew up with. I call that the dark ages. Somehow I lived through it without razor blades in my wrists.

I'm glad to hear that your daughter has shown so much acceptance and affection for her really cool dad. Remind yourself of that next time you feel down.

It is always pleasing to read uplifting stories like yours.
I hope the blues have disappeared now.
Wonderful daughter you have there.

That is so sweet! I am debating on whether to tell my 19 year old daughter. I am sure she would be ok but not sure if she would share with other family members.
