A few days ago I posted about being Sir'ed. Oh well, it happens.
Today things went much better in that department, and I came home feeling grand.
I was trying on some cute floral pumps with little bows on the heels. A mother, with her toddler daughter saw me and she said "Look at the pretty shoes on the beautiful lady". Thank you.
An hour later, in line at the supermarket, a senior, but very well put together, lady behind me said "It's so nice to see a lady put some pride into her appearance, all these women look like it's cleaning day." She was right, the GG's around us were all wearing track pants, and sneakers. Thank you.
At my coffee shop, the man behind me asked if he could buy my coffee. I declined, then he said "Could I at least join you at a table, a pretty woman is much better company than any newspaper". Thank you
I've been on an emotional roller coaster lately, and WOW did I need the confidence boost. Thank you.

Wow If I could have that kind of day I'd be out in public in a heartbeat. Great to hear about your day. We all need this from time to time.

I nearly went into tears laughing at this part. She most certainly right. They like to call it dressing comfortably though but all the time?
I am glad you had a wonderful day and your faith in people restored. We all need this from time to time :)

Celeste,
The other day may have been a bummer for you and it will probably happen again.
At least you were able to experience negavive conversation.
Now a boost to your ego and something positive.
Enjoy the moment.

Glad to see you having some positive experiences. I suppose some of these people have made you but they are accepting you and trying to make you feel comfortable and wanted. It's a shame more people can't act this way.

I always cringe when I hear any comment, good or bad... not sure why, I think its just the notion that someone is observing me, making a judgement and feels the need to verbalize it. The confidence boost is great though! That is one huge difference between genders...I'm pretty sure woman get complements a lot more than guys do...

Its nice to get some affirmation. It comes and goes. Today, I was ma'am at the Fed Ex store and got a "sir" at the Starbucks. I try not to let "sir" bother me too much or take too much encouragement from the "Ma'am's"

Someone needs to invent a non-gender specific greeting. "Mir"? "Sirmam"?
I suspect thes corporations tell their employees to use the "sir" or "ma'am" thing but never consider that a customer's true or self determined gender may not be obvious.

I always have faith in people Hon. It's the drama that many get involved with that I don't have much faith in.:)

Wow, what awesome anecdotes. I'm really glad these things happened to you. I'd be over the moon if they were to happen to me.

How wonderful for you to have such lovely experiences! The fact that all three happened on the same day is more than random coincidence - you definitely are doing something very right!
