View Full Version : The absurdity of pearl snap buttons . . .

So for those not obsessed with reading my posts, I'm MTF TS on the transition path, barely out and still present M, but I've been on HRT for a few years. So I have a 39B chest.
My wife does not like the B part at all. She has never touched them. Our relationship is struggling greatly, but that's a digression.
Its those B cups I'm here to talk about. They are big enough to need some support. So I wear Ah-bras, and sports bras all day. They work fine.
So I was traveling out of town and shopping for a birthday gift for a granddaughter at Aeropostal. After picking up a cool T for her I chanced upon these long sleeved plaid shirts on clearance. They had double patch breast pockets which hide breasts well AND they had cool western shirt style pearl snaps instead of buttons. I'm pretty eclectic, bit I have a bit of cowgirl in me, and the pearl snap buttons are cool. A perfect over layer shirt and I bought two.
So next day I had a great printed T shirt packed with me, but it was cool out, so I wore my new plaid overshirt.
And flying home I went through the TSA whole body scanner you raise your arms in, and on getting out I was stopped for a pat down. The pearl snap buttons had the machine lit up like a Christmas Tree.
So I get patted down mid chest, both breasts, and both wrist cuffs . . . and as the TSA guy is patting my breasts I realize the first person to feel up my boobs is a TSA agent!
I had to work to suppress the snort of nervous giggle laughter I felt at the absurdity of the whole thing . . .
So anyone else felt up by TSA??

LOL. Last time I flew en drab, after I objected to being barked at in the scanner, they pulled me aside for a patdown. I'd been dieting and had lost some belly, and already had taken my belt off, so when they asked me to raise my arms and turn around, my trousers fell to the floor. First time I'd ever flashed frilly pink panties on the unsuspecting public, I gave the room a long girly wiggle before pulling back up. The TSA dudes were more embarrassed than I was, though not embarrassed enough to offer any sort of apology.
'Lissa, you seem to have saved yourself for nothing!
I got the full crotch grope once. What are you going to do?

I wear metal inserts when I know TSA is going to have to "feel me up". ;)

If flying requires being touched I will stop flying and no way could I ever handle being touched by a guy. That would have resulted in a very public melt down.
Love Aeropostal. They have cool stuff.

As far as TSA is concerned I think they have a quota system so many pat downs per hour regardless. I have a knee replacement with full documentation and surprise the wand squawked at it and somehow having the documentation made no difference at all. I traveled world wide prior to 911 and now it just is not worth it any more.

Folks it has nothing to do with snap buttons or whatever else you are wearing. I was flying in drab mode wearing the following and nothing more: cotton t shirt, elastic waist cotton shorts (no metal what so ever) with a draw string, and my panties. No shoes or socks. The machine detected something on my side that required touching to check it out. Now I would love to say that I have a six pac, but it really is a mini keg for a belly. The machines are a joke and so is everything about the screening process. We are just giving some folks without a clue a JOB. Now I have worn my under-wire bra, girl yoga pants, girl t shirt, and panties and had the girl ask me to step back in as she must have hit the wrong button. I was wearing a weeks beard on my way to Senza Pelo Med Spa in Phoenix for electrolysis. So go figure.

Why so phobic of being touched? You let em do it,and you are on your way..why do so many people here [there was a thread on the CD side] have such a problem with being touched?

I sometimes think that these TSA groped me threads are some kind of fantasy thing. I got my boobs, crotch, bra strap felt!
Then people come in and feign indignation over it. :heehee:

Lea!! Snort! Saving myself - too funny.

LOL. Kel, it was pretty real - My shirt had snaps on the pockets over each breast, the agent just patted where the machine said to.
And I'm pretty sure my OP didn't say I was upset. And, no one has asked has me if I enjoyed it!! (And I'd be lying if I said I didn't.) :-)

Three weeks ago I had breast augmentation in the Philippines. I returned to the states on the 19th. Everything went without a hitch until I flew into Atlanta. After the x ray machine said I had 500 lbs of explosives, drugs, exotic animals and other things in my chest I was asked to step aside. The TSA agent asked if I had anything in my left pocket to which I said no. He asked if he could pat me down. Thinking I had no other choice if I wanted to fly to my final destination I agreed. Using the back of his hand with gloves on he touched the inside and outside of my left breast. About the second pat he stopped, thought for a second and said.... "Oh". Then he told me all was well and I could move on. I did not find it offensive at all. Had it been my teenage daughter or my granddaughter I may have have felt differently though.
Thinking ahead that this may happen while I was still in the Philippines I had several women feel me up. The TSA agent was however the first man to do so.
