Returned last Sunday from our spring trip to Vegas and it was a fun time. Of course Nancie went to visit Amy @ Just You/Glamour Boutique and had a makeover as i try to do each time I visit that town. Amy now has a folder with place and things which she has put together for us girls so we can visit a few places and enjoy the trip. My SO and I ended up at a place called the "Goodtimes". I guess it was a mixed bar, and we had a great time. Walked in and had no fears. The bartender was pleasant and made a super drink. Others that came in paid no attention to the two of us. They had karoke and although neither of us took the time to sing we spent probably 3 or so hours there. After the drinks and we left to go back to our timeshare, I told my SO I going in and no more questions. I walked past a number of people and thru the lobby and to the elevators.. I loved it. Made a few other stops to take some pics. A couple are posted here.

Vegas is great for the cross dresser, but really just about any city is fair game. Dress age, location and season appropriate, walk with confidence and act like you belong and you'll have a good time.

I'm with Jennifer on this one. Although Vegas is still on my bucket list.... I've been out and about from DC to Denver and from Madison to San Antonio and when in Rome dress like a Roman and you'll get along just fine.....

Glad you had a great time... and thanks for sharing the pics...

i hope to retire there if things go as i plan... i love that city.. of course you always have to make a stop at Glamour Boutique when there but also lots of nice places to shop. Most all places are accpeting in Vegas as there are people from all over the world there on any given day...

Vegas is no differnet than most major cities out there.
All you jeed to do is just check onlune before you go and you will find tons of pkaces to hang out.
Yes Vegas is still lagging on same sex marriages but we keep voting for it and realy soon its gonna be catered to here.

I am a local and an admirer, I don't dress. I have been searching for a place where those who do dress hangout. It seems we do not have a regular place except The Las Vegas Lounge and the majority of the ladies there are working.

Absolutly true Jennifer. I've traveled many cites and not had problems going to resturaunts, bars, casinos, shopping. You may get a strange look every now and again, but generaly no issues. I do look forward to spending a long weekend in Vegas sometime though.

I had a makeover (my first) with Amy and it was terrific. But I left my transformation bag with Heather's wig, dress, heels in my hotel room. I left Amy looking and feeling beautiful with false eyelashes, eyeliner and lipstick but with my very short guy hair cut and guy gym clothes. I then had to negotiate a busy parking lot, the casino floor, a busy lobby, an elevator wait, a crowded elevator ride and a walk to my room. I acted like this was normal for me. I am sure many people noticed but no one cared. It was a great experience.

I'm going to Vegas next week! Not to dress, though. Well, not to go out. I'll likely take advantage of no kids around to spend some quality time lounging in lingerie in the room with my wife.

Vegas is a great place. I've seen CDer's out on the strip and in the casinos. Some are obviously old hands, others not so much. My wife and I have talked about dressing up in costume, fairies, superheroes, whatever, and walking around. Vegas is full of the strange and wonderful. If I had everything together, I'd go out but I don't. Besides, we both know many people there from our work. Most don't frequent the Strip but still.

I live in Las Vegas and have worked on The Strip. If you walk around The Strip or Fremont St. dressed, you will hardly get any looks bevause eberybody else are on their own agendas (i.e. hooking up, getting drunk or high, getting to a show, etc.)

That's so great to hear, I've heard some good things about Vegas with regards to acceptance, fun, etc. A couple of years ago I went with some friends but I didn't even think about dressing up :), maybe next time!

Wife and I want to go there one of these days. I know it is accepting of about anything there. All my relatives say we have to go, of course they just go to the casinos. Might be a great trip in the making.. We heard New York never shuts down and I have heard that about Vegas as well we really should have a place on here that we can post about towns that are like Vegas and cater to us gals. Would be good to know the places to visit and where to eat and get makeovers and etc...Nancie your pictures are great...

Thanks Jaylyn. Try Vegas, you will love it. I'm heading out in a couple of weeks for the east. Hopefully a stop at Rori's in Chicago for a makeover and than some road tripping farther east. My SO tells me that we can drive until we get tired and than stop. Sat, Sunday, & Monday a lot to see in Pa and then on to GB in Fairfield NJ for another makeover and some clothes shopping. Have never been to GB out there so really looking forward to this. My SO has sort of arranged this trip so a few surprises I hope are in store. A whole week and a few days of it will be as Nancie. Lovin it!!!!

I was in Vegas this past weekend, but I was with a large group who do not know about my dressing. So I didn't get to go visit Glamour Boutique or any of that stuff. However, some of the characters I saw walking around downtown convinced me that one slightly overweight white guy dressed like a girl isn't going to draw much, if any notice. Someday when I am not there with friends I will go see Amy and then hit Fremont St en femme.

I don't care for Vegas much... Too hot and the last time through it took me 2 hours with cars in a hurry cutting me off and squeezing into places that are needed for following distance. Aggressive drivers and those on cell phones cause way too much of the traffic tie ups.

Please give trucks the room we need! Do you really want to be rear-ended by a 40 ton vehicle?

Cheers

Annette

Yay, Vegas! It's a total party environment, you should have no problem......just go, do your own thing , and be yourself.
