What do you call the urge to dress?

For those of you who don't dress full time, but only when the urge strikes, do you have a code word for it? I call it 'feeling girly' and I call my clothes (Deedee's clothes) girly clothes. I suppose that term is probably politically incorrect, but those GGs that know about me understand what I mean.

I refer to it as "alien abduction time"... all the classic symptoms.... missing time I can't account for.... really tired the next morning... strange markings on my body.... feeling of being manipulated and implanted and probed.... lol

Funny how I'll have an exchange with my wife and then the same topic pops up on this board.

I call it 'putting some thing pretty on' , my wife calls it 'wear something pretty'.

When I turned 64 earlier this month she got me a set of rock tamers and some vanity fair panties. Sweet.

I call it "time to transform." (It makes me feel like there should be some sort of magic phrase involved: "Wonder Amy powers, ACTIVATE!" :)) Sabrina and I also refer to it as "getting into Amy-mode."

Going the opposite way is "detransforming" or sometimes "deconstructing." (I thought there was a movie out there called Deconstructing Amy, but it was actually titled Deconstructing Harry. Oh well, go figure...)

For me it's before work and after work. I live dressed as Renne, but have only found a way to make money en drab. Now if I could only find a good paying job as Renne..... ahh a girl can dream. So my transisitions are when I wake up, I jump out of the forms and the night gown and into a pair of guy pants and shirt with some guy loafers. When work is over, I dump the kakis and jump into heels, hair, forms, pads makeup etc... and relax.

Since I'm not talking to anybody, I don't call it anything, I just do it. I suppose if for some reason I had to tell my wife I was going to get dressed, I would probably say something like "I'm going to put my boobs on."

Pure escapism for me. Not a compulsion. Its when my male-self fcs up a promising relationship w/ a hot GG (he always Does cause he's sucha a Dumass!). Anyways...thats why, mainly. Step into another universe. Shields me from the pain until the loss of what could've been fades. Lah de dah...nothin new...
