Garter and stockings or Pantyhose?

I always wear pantyhose. This is probably because I don't have a garter belt. I had one once, and I admit that I really liked the feel of garters and stockings. Had to learn to hide the bits a bit better, though. I'd like to get another sometime soon. But pantyhose is convenient and comfortable to me, so for now I do that.

for me its a matter of skirt/dress length. longer than mid thigh i wear thigh highs and/or garter and stockings. if i am wearing a short skirt/mini i wear sheers. not straight pantyhose, but sheer to the waist...then a sexy pair of panties under that...:D

I love the feeling of stretching the stocking from bottom to top of each leg in one smooth motion, the tug on the garters, the feel of satin swishing over the area of skin above the stocking tops, even the contortions of getting the suspenders fastened. Did you know you can get garters with 6 suspenders on each leg!
In the closet, it doesn't matter if the stocking tops show under a miniskirt, just seems that little bit more risque! Go on, call me a **** if you want.

It has to be stockings and garter or girdle for me. If my stocking tops show it just is more exciting and usuall meens I am getting to go clubbing.

If the opportunity to go out dressed in the day time comes up I go for the more demure look, you know a little longer skirt or dress.

I simply adore garter belts (or 'suspender' belts as they are known in England). Frilly, plain or decorative they are a pleasure to the eye and sensuous to the feel. They have an elegance tht belonged to a bygone time.

For me it depends on my mood. I usually always prefer pantyhose, it is pretty much my first fem garment I ever wore and still love wearing them. However if I am feeling really sexy then I wear my thigh highs, but I tend not to wear them very long cause the hold up portion tends to start hurting my legs. I don't own a garter belt, but I used to have a corset that had the suspenders in it and I have a pair of seamed stockings. Now they don't come out of my drawer very much, cause I no longer have that corset. All in all I still think that pantyhose are my favorite.

Pantyhose work for me, as long as you get the size right and they are of decent quality, for me they feel wonderful. I love the all over sense of control and the smoothness they provide. Garter belts and stockings definitely do it for me! I love wearing them under a pretty dress or gown. Plus I can easily change into a different pair of panties if I like, since I wear my panties over my garters. When I'm in the mood, I also love to wear a pair of sheer-to-waist pantyhose with a pair of pretty panties underneath.

Well! This being my first time here,I guess I'll just "jump in".
When I was young and,just starting to dress,there was no such thing as pantyhose. But neither were there options like thi hi's either.
It's the same with bra's. Until recently,you couldn't get a shaped cup bra except for a few specialty stores. I like thi hi's mostly.Garters and so forth while very sexy can, be cumbersome in daily life. I have found that pantyhose
correctly sized can be very nice indeed. It is only in the last several years that I can buy pantyhose that actually fit me.Gee,if I wanted to wear a girdle,I'd put one on.Besides,control top is like wearing a rope around my waist.Now then,,,when I started on some light hormones,my parts that tended to crowd me in either pantyhose or, panties began to let's say,
become less of a problem.Now I wear pantyhose in the winter,under pants

Contrary to what i've read in this thread, there is a vast range of panthose for all occassions. Seamed down the back, patterned opaques, fishnets & lacey, shiny or matt finishes, variations of denier ratings and colours, etc...

With stockings, I can't see the point of having the top half of the leg uncovered? Ok, maybe the garter makes them more sexy, but what about at other times like wearing them to work? Stockings are just not as practical as pantyhose. I much prefer to have my entire legs covered from toe to waist. Pantyhose have a better overall feeling and they are warmer in the Winter too!

Then again, I've never worn a garter/stockings, so maybe my view is biased!
