So I decided, mostly on a whim, to go out tonight. Ok, so a whim takes about an hour and a half to accomplish, but...

So the one line that made my night was a question from a guy I was chatting with. He asked me, "Are you a woman?"

While this may seem horrible at first blush, it was a major thing for me. I presented well enough that he was not sure! This leads me to believe that most people would just see me and assume I was a girl. It was great. I know it's not perfect, but all the people I chatted with were very kind and I got some nice compliments.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you. Have fun!

That's great, but what was your answer?

BTW: In your photos, you do look like a woman. A very attractive woman.

My answer: "Erm, Not genetically?" He looked suddenly uncomfortable, which made me giggle more. I told him it was ok, and he seemed to relax.

I've always written that perhaps the best we can hope for is genuine confusion. "Are you a ...?" Or "Were you a....?"

That is a success in my book

That is exactly what I figured was the best I could ever hope for. If they wonder I did well. As long as they are not sure I am a man then I am happy with that.
