I haven't dressed for a few months now, but while out last night I saw a woman wearing one of my favourites.....

A leather mini skirt.

Suddenly I feel the need to dress again.

Funny how seeing someone wear a particular item can start it all off again!

Yeah, I'm tempted to dress again...later today in fact. I go through these same feelings four or five times a week.

Do you ever do this?

I told a friend yesterday I liked the look of her glittery lipstick.

Ever had one.

How sympathetic were the saleswomen?

I compliment my wife's makeup all the time. She is really pretty, and knows how to not over-do.

I, as you know have complemented women on hair and make-up and clothes, but feel boots are a touchy subject.

How do you compliment a woman on certain items, or talk about them without sounding kinky?

Just for the information of the US CDs, relating to makeovers involving dept. stores, I have talked to several girls that work at the makeup counters of Dillards stores here in Texas. All have expressed a willingness to do a CD makeover in the stores. Additionally, most will know of someone in the area that will do a home makeover for CDs. No one should be too bashful about talking with these girls. Their job is to sell cosmetics, not judge their customers. One interesting note: They tell me that makeovers really pick up during the Halloween time of the year. Wonder why that is? LOL Reana

I think it depends on how you say it. If you say it very casually like "Your boots are cute", then it will probably come off as a compliment. If you say it like "I Looooove your boots....mmmmmm", you will probably come of as some sort of perv. That said, when I hit the bank yesterday, the teller girl had the cutest shoes and I amost complimented her on them, but I thought she might think I was weird.

Why do I not find women's shorts, trousers and jeans sexy, but I do skirts?

Reana
12-17-2005, 01:45 PM
Let the person draw whatever conclusion they chose. A compliment is a compliment. I can't imagine anyone would take a positive comment on any aspect of their appearance as a negative. I sometimes am so (secretly) critical of other's appearances that I just can't wait to compliment someone on something I sincerely feel is attractive on them. Assuming the worst, that being that the person think the comment is a little unexpected or slightly weird, it might just help them get through an otherwise boring day. Reana :)

I have often complimented women on their footwear, sometimes just something simple like, Great Boots! Never had a negative reaction. Sometimes they seem pleasantly surprised that a guy noticed their footwear.

Who knows, could be impressions you have carried with you for years, maybe because men can wear jeans, shorts, etc , but not skirts, maybe because some skirts are just soo sexy. Just enjoy skirts.

i love wearing skirts/dresses. i also like wearing jeans. notice the difference. most of the time i wear a skirt or a dress. i will wear jeans to the mall on occasion. but for the most part, i wear skirts and dresses. when i wear jeans, i do however wear only heels.

I agree that compliments are often accepted well, especially if the boots are pretty damn cool, or very expensive, Not just boots.. I recently found a girl at work wearing Flamed Chuck's (Converse All Stars), I had to say something ! Shewas dead pleased that someone noticed them. Next day, she was wearing Duffs... and I noticed them too, I complimented her again, and now we chat about all sorts of stuff as we pass in the corridor.

If I was 15 years younger... !!

I must warn against publicly offering to lick the boots in question... It just get's you talked about.

I find it more of a rush when GGs joke about me wearing their clothes and make-up just in conversation than actually dressing myself.

Do you enjoy the teasing?

Nikki Dee
12-17-2005, 02:22 PM
Dunno love....but I am just the same....I have worn trousers/jeans etc...but somehow I just don't get the same buzz as I do when I wear a skirt or dress...maybe I'm just too damn girly.!!...and I will live with that..LOL
Love Nikki. xx

Don't mind the teasing at all...but I would still rather be dressed.!!

Sure...it comes with the territory. And if I should happen to look as feminine or more than them when dressed...well...that's all part of the "fun" too isn't it now?;):p

In our Western culture the skirt epitomises the female, (I know that some men wear kilts which are a sort of skirt, but they are very much the exception even in Scotland).

In these days a lot of clothing is unisex, in the UK and Europe men's underpants (briefs) are almost identical to women's panties having no fly, elasticated leg openings, a double gusset (crotch for US readers), and in all sorts of colours not just plain white Y-Fronts or Undershorts as in my childhood and youth in the 1950s and 60s. Similarly jeans, trousers, shorts. etc are very similar but the skirt is still the architypal FEMALE garment to most people. One has only to look at the symbol used to differentiate Public Toilets, for Male Toilets a figure with its legs apart wearing trousers, for Female Toilets a skirted figure.

So the skirt is still a woman's garment as far as common public perception is concerned and thus has the attraction for Crossdressers and TVs of the "Forbidden Fruit" . I have often seen a woman wearing a skirt which has been attractive to me and have sometimes bought a similar one for myself to enjoy wearing at home.

Is there really any need to think. Just do it and be who you are and enjoy life.
If we stopped and thought about everthing we would worry all the time and never do what we want to do.

Hi Heathr

I understandwhat you mean about skirts and trousers

I thought that too but my wife found me a pair of ladies trousers that are so thin and light feel really sexy.

Just wear what suits you

I used to feel that way too. Now, I have realized the way that women's pants and shorts are cut and love the feel. I find a nice tight pair of pants almost as sexy as skirts.

Why do I not find women's shorts, trousers and jeans sexy, but I do skirts?

I feel the same way, and I don't own any. But I will buy a good pants suit from a thrift shop. No pants suits new.

Are Dept store makeovers free? The only charge is to buy makeup?

I've had some girls threaten to dress me up - almost like a dare. I've reluctantly pretended to be disinterested. Ahh, regret.

Other than that, I hate all teasing... been picked on a lot about it by people who didn't even really know the truth. Always called the 'guy with the skirt' in a social group because I lack balls :( I've always been the exception to the "I hate men" game - oh you don't count, honey. And I'd get teased about not being "a man". Argh. And I've never been out - they're all talking about my personality. So that teasing would really get inside me - do they know?

I'll go now lol

I got a bit of teasing this evening actually, at a Christmas party of good friends which my wife and I have attended for probably 12 years. I always enjoy it. Now if they teased me when I was dressed...:crying:

Anyone planning on going out en femme on NYE?

A GG who does not know about my occasional dressing jokingly offered me one of her dresses for the evening in fancy dress.....

I kept my mouth shut.

sounds like an opportunity. I dont think friends or colleagues consider that I could dress, but they also know better than to challenge me to anything. I work at a casino, and will be there (although I am on holidays). it will be a pleasant evening. easy.

:)

I've just received an email from a GG who I bought a skirt from about a year and a half ago to say she will sell me some of her clothes cheaply as she has given up on ebay and has a friend who still uses it who sells large sized club/fetish wear.

I've yet to reply, but it was a lovely surprise.:)

When you see a GG in your favourite item, or fabric/material, does it make you want to dress?

Today, I saw a woman in leather trousers and have just put my leather skirt on.

hi hope you had a good new year. To answer your question no. My SOs idea of makeup used to be red lips, false eye lashes etc. I did his make up quite a few times and took him on a make-up course (we said he was thinking of going into theatrical makeup for a living). I would urge all cders to get some expert advice as alot can be changed with makeup - big features can be made to look smaller and PLEASE do your eyebrows! it doesnt have to be very noticable but a bit of tidying up works wonders. Red lipstick only really works on the young or beautiful. Less is more when it comes to makeup. Foundation with a good coverage is a great base to work on (5 oclock shadow). Shading and highlighting can minimise a big jaw bone and large forhead whilst highlighting can bring out those cheek bones! Ive seen some great makeup jobs in the photos, so alot of you are getting in right already! luv pric
