Well, I just got back from my mini-trip and got to spend a ton of time dressed. Wed. night I got about 4 hours to be out and on Thursday I spent 12 hours out dressed. It was so exciting and I'm getting so much more confident. I'm now really venturing into areas that I wouldn't have before and even did some more shopping. This time around I bought some panties and a new bra. I found a really fantastic outlet mall that I spent a ton of time at walking around and just sitting around people watching. Nobody freaked out when I was spotted and I did get a few curious stares but nothing bad at all. No negative comments or laughing out loud or anything of that sort. As the title reads I did spend 12 hours in 6" stillettos which was fun. For all the GG's that complain about wearing heels I don't want to hear it. It really isn't that bad at all. If I can do it for the entire day and not tear up my feet then you can too. haha

12 hours in 6" stillettos? ... ok, what I'd like to know is how high was the platform sole of your shoe? I have some 6-1/2" spike killer heels that I can spend a long time in with no issues BUT they have a 2" platform sole so that's "cheating" if you know what I mean. OTOH my 5" pumps with no platform at all ... now they tell a different (painful) story after only a couple of hours standing up. My point is, the style of shoe, not the heel height, makes a huge difference.

That's because we're not all floating on cloud nine when we wear our heels. The power of the mind is amazing! :D
Edit - Rachel makes a great point. I never even thought of platforms. lol. I don't own any. I'm tall enough as it is.

Assuming these heels have no platform I would kill myself trying to walk in them. I've been scared to try any heels above 3". I have my eye on some cute 4" ankle strap pumps from Pleaser, but I can't afford them right now. :(
Glad you got to spend so much time dressed. :)

Amazing, I recently purchased some 5 1/2" heels with a 2" platform, but I haven't ventured out and about in them. I can walk reasonably well but don't think I would want to wear them for 12 hrs. Way to go Gina, I'm admire your stamina and endurance, sounds like you had a great time.

I love heels too, but makes me glad that I live in flip flop country year round. LoL. Easier on my feet, and at 5'11" i don't "stand out" as much. But do love the way my hiney looks in a pair of 4-5" heels.

I'm only 5'7" so I'm def. not very tall so I don't look like that chick in Duece Bigalow "that's a tall B*tch" haha The shoes do have a platform but are actually really comfortable. I bought the same pair for my wife and she won't wear them out and complains that they are so uncomfortable even just around the house. haha Anyways, here are the shoes I wore: http://www.snaz75.com/hh-angel-19.html

Right. The difference being you were probably high on adrenaline and testosterone which are known to reduce male sensitivity to pain.

I've found that the higher the heel the shorter the stride. With flats, I can do all my errands. With 4" heels, I can do most of my errands. With 5" heels, I can walk to the car... with 6" heels, I might be able to walk out of the bedroom LOL....
Hope you made great strides.....

I'm with Renne on this one. I do have two pairs of five inch heels, one black, one white. It wasn't my intention on ordering that height. The seller did not carefully measure the height. I can wear them around the house, but, it takes me longer to do my chores. I intentionally bought several pairs of flats. They are especially welcome when in the back yard. A pointed heel tends to sink into the grass or dirt.
If the heel height itself, no cheating with a two inch platform, is six inches, I'd watch out or you may develop foot ailments. You must have practiced a long time to stretch the muscles and ligaments to accommodate the unusual changes in stress.

Seriously cute shoes Gina. Love 'em. I am just a tad under 5'7" and regularly wear 4 1/2 inch heels (w/out platforms) with no problems. i have 5 inch heels with some platforms and some 6 inch heels with and without platforms. Ithe 6 inch heels without platforms are not for outdoor wear.
By the way Gina, love the site. I've ordered shoes from them as well. Zappos is also another great site for killer heels.

6" heels with 2" platforms r still 4" heels. However, I find most 4" heels to be quite comfortable. It's some of my 5"+ heels that "tear me up" if I'm out and about in them for a long time. My feet will not bend enuff to fit into REAL 6" heels! Sigh!
However, having torn up feet after a long dressing session is all part of the femanizing process for me. And, it feels so good to take them off!

You are right, its like taking off ski boots at the end of a great day on the slopes - fun while it lasted but a relief when its over.

I can't even imagine wearing 6" heels....seems like sheer masochism to me...besides I don't think I'd blend in well at 6'9"
