I made this funny correlation while on my drive to work today. I saw a motorcyclist and thought...
Crossdressers are a lot like bikers. When out by yourself, you may get noticed, you may not, but you are more likely to get run over.
When out in a group though, you are more likely to get noticed, but NOBODY is going to run you over. :D

It made me chuckle in my car lol.

I'd say the main difference is this: when I'm on my bike, I do everything I can to be noticed, when I'm out and about, I do everything I can to blend.

Also, I take it your aren't planning on explaining this particular comparison to the next group of bikers you see? :D

Bikers are better at noticing other bikes on the road; I'll bet we are better at noticing other CDers (of course, nobody beats teenage girls).
There is instant camaraderie amongst bikers.
Bikers have learned how to keep their balance on unstable, dynamic platforms (heels, anybody?).
When they go out in public, bikers have learned how to survive and thrive in an environment not necessarily designed for them.
Sometimes bikers are negatively judged by people who don't know anything about them but their appearance.
Bikers have accepted that they differ from social norms, and most of them really enjoy that difference!

Also, biking is like Crossdressing in the fact that it is one more thing my wife will not let me do lol. She has good reason for that one though. She almost lost her brother to a motorcycle accident. I can comply with that one. Besides, I am now able to dress again! WOOHOO!!!!
