I am sitting here thinking about the past few weeks and have come to a realization that brings about this rather odd question: "What's the least you could do?"

I have been extrememly busy over the past six weeks with all sorts of things, new job, kids sports and end of school stuff, etc. I have not had the time to really fully dress much at all. In fact for the past three weeks it has been pretty much panties, painted nails and sleeping in my nighties. I didn't even realize how little I had been dressing until I logged on tonight. I am not stressed about it or anything, it just happened. Anyway, all this led me to start thinking about what is the least amount of dressing I could do and not get too bothered by it. I mean, I really enjoy going all the way and letting Shelby out with the wig and makeup and stuff. What I have realized is that I have pretty much found my lower limit over the past month or so.
If I had to give up the panties or the painted nails or stop sleeping in my nighties, I think I would start to get stressed.

So, the million dollar question I want to pose to you lovely ladies is: What is your lower limit? What is the least you could do. I know for some it has to be all-the-way and for others it will be not at all. Most of us are in the middle somewhere.

So, let's here it... :)

Hugs:hugs:

Shelby

PS. Please do your best to keep this fun; after all, it is an odd question....:battingeyelashes:

Over the years after I began dressing about 15 years ago, I tried everything u mentioned and lots more. Underdressing. Putting on hose and heels to watch TV. Wearing heels and prosthesis to bed, etc., etc. After awhile, it all got old.

Now, if I don't have the time and/or the energy, I don't bother wearing anything! When I dress now, it's usually all the way. Except the very rare evening I put on lingerie and forms before going to bed.

If I'm really going to get any stress relief out of it, I generally have to at least get everything right from the neck down. Assuming I'll be staying in and just watching TV or working on the computer. That may include my bra, forms, waist cincher, corset, or other shapewear, panties, pantyhose, stockings, or thigh highs. I generally have the best luck getting a nice wrap top or blouse, and a nice pencil skirt to fit. Most of the time I include a pair of heels I ESPECIALLY need practice in. If the neighbors are not around, I'll wear flats and walk my new puppy around the yard. If I can stay on the sidewalk, I'll keep the heels on. To get a clue of my presentation, I sometimes use my cell phone to take a short video to see what would "give me away". It's almost always the usual things: slouching, elbows too far out, waddling instead of keeping one foot in front of the other, letting my shoulders become too involved in my walking, clamping instead of stepping gracefully in my heels, etc. I sometimes wear a nice skirt suit and see how I can look in that. I generally make the same mistakes. As I've been advised on here before, I do best if relaxed, keep good posture, NOT TRY TO OVERSWAY MY HIPS, keep my stride short to help with the heels. And hope I can look "blendable" at least a couple of times. The last time I was going for full makeup, I got so depressed seeing how deep my wrinkles had become, I just didn't bother. My makeup mirror showed me how I had aged so much, I realized professional help is now mandatory before really going out. Anyway....that's about the least I can do before a professional makeover. And a new wig essential. Stay safe, Linda

I think if I could not under dress a little I would get moody.

Since I live alone and now am full-time and about to start transition, II really can't answer this. I am in the S.S. time of my life, and now, because of divorce, I had to take a job as a bridge tender. Once a year we have a training and testing meeting, all in the "off rotation" are required to attend. Most of the tenders are Good Old Boys, or their necks have a reddish tint to them. I will be making a decision soon about being myself or getting dressed to appear male for the day. After that maybe I'll have something to contribute to this thread.
Until then I'll continue reading others responses to you and this thread.

I don't get stressed out.... mater of fact I thrive on stress.... so the least I could do would be to wear no feminine clothing at all... or better yet go naked! lol.
