Hey Ladies,
I have a rare opportunity to dress and go out tonight, it would be my first time out of the house. The only problem is that I have no idea where to go, I would like to imeet and interact withother CD's, maybe dance.
The only outlet and information I have about my passion in this website and I do not even get to go on it that often. I live in the center of CT so I can get around the state fairly easy. Can anyone give nay advice?
Thank You,
Elexa

I've been to the Hartford Civic Center, Morton's Steakhouse, Bushnell Theater, Danbury Mall, and pretty much anywhere else I want to go. I think you should just go anywhere you like be it shopping, dining, concerts or just walking around! I don't know of a specific meeting place for cd's as I go out in the general public.

I would say Connecticut is like most other places around the country, just be aware of your surroundings.

Hey Connecticut Gals,
So I don't have any friends that share these feelings so I was thinking that I should make some. How about we plan a day or evening out together. It does not have to be anything wild just get together for a drink or hang out somewhere private so those of us who are new to dressing (me) could feel comfortable around like minded people and ease into it. I just think it would be nice to get to know some people with the same thoughts. - Elexa

I live in Danbury, and have gone pretty much everywhere. Most of the malls (Danbury, Meriden, Waterbury, West Farms, etc). Triangles in Danbury is good too. My current go-to is Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. There are the outlets, Mystic seaport, Greenwich ave shopping, quick trips to Boston and NYC. Endless opportunities, and you will truly not be harrassed. I usually go out in hybrid mode, full outfit, no wig or makeup, and have never been bothered. I go the full nine when I go to the casinos, and have always been treated properly. PM if you want to chat or meet.

Danbury has Triangles, which is LGBT, and has a pretty active night life for CD's.

Me, I personally prefer to float in the mainstream, so I'd rather be somewhere between Stamford, Bridgeport, Hartford, New London dressed as the real me. I'm a Rhode Islander living in New Jersey, and I had a wonderful time traveling as a woman on the Amtrak Acela last week.

My next trick in Connecticut is ordering a pizza at Frank Pepe's pizza in New Haven , the most awesome pizza place in the country, so I've been told. oh, and yes I've been there....and the pizza is awesomely phenomenal.

Hey there - not a CT resident, but just over the line in northern Westchester. Triangles is very nearby, and has a monthly trans night, I think third Sat of the month. Never been but other members spoke highly of it club wise, not as weird as the NY club scene. Especially at my age, rather not be dealing with someplace that has issues. Or you could just go out and about as other posts state. Me - not enough confidence, so getting a little experience at a place that's totally accepting is cool. Thinking about going this coming month in August.

And welcome!
