I have been able to dress almost all of Thursday and today. I have enjoyed it greatly but it did come with a price. I had to take my wife to the hospital to be put in the Mental health ward Wednesday. She is bi-polar and has PTSD and had suicidal idealizations Wednesday afternoon. She will be out by Monday and I can handle the kids and the house. This is not the first time, but it has been three years since her last visit. Now, I am not dressing behind her back, She is supportive of my dressing, but prefers I dress only once a week. Like an idiot, I forgot to take any pictures. I might get some time Monday before I pick her up :)

Wow, what a rough week. I don't know how much I'd be thinking of dressing if my spouse was hospitalized, but we all handle the stress of such situations differently. My thoughts are with you and your wife.

There is nothing I can really do for her. She's in a safe place and well taken care of. I take a lot of things in stride and very rarely stress over anything. I work with special needs people with both physical and mental disabilities, my son has a learning disability, my daughter is autistic and I have been dealing with her mental illness for over 15 years. If I was to stress over even half of that I would be a wreck...LOL...Dressing helps relieve what little stress I do have by just forcing me to relax.

Sorry to hear about your wife.
For me, if my wife was in hospital, I would probably be in girl mode until she got back.
I'm glad you have an outlet

Aint nothing better to do than to clean house, and what better way to clean than to dress!

My wife was bipolar and she rarely went longer than a year between "mental tune-ups" as she called them. Like you said, she is better being taken care of than continuing the spiral. Best of luck

My prayers are with you and your family also. My wife teaches Special Education to kids. Some have different and varying degrees of problems. I understand somewhat you are going thru, may God Bless your family.

Thank you all for you support. My week has not improved much. I'll post that in the lounge.

If my wife was hospitalized I'd probably not worry all that much about dressing up, but instead would likely spend every minute I could being there by her bedside...
