Anyone know this place? They promote that they are friendly towards us girls. (Errr I always say girls. I know there are those of you presenting/who are men. In no way do I mean to discount you. Girls is just what comes out. Basically I'm self centered and since that's my thing... I love you guys too). My wife and I are considering going tonight. Her first question was regarding appropriate dress. Anyone know what to expect? It says bar and grill and that's what the name suggests. But then I read about a dance floor and I have to wonder.

You'll also usually find a thread about the upcoming T-Girls Night event in the Upcoming Events forum, but I don't see one yet. Feel free to start one if you wish!

They are very friendly. If fact their motto is "Eat, Drink, and be Mary!" You can't get much friendlier than that!

Clothing is whatever you might want to wear. Clubwear is popular, but there are also a lot of girls in jeans and T-shirts. No real dress code at all. It can get warm inside.

Burgers are great, as you might expect, but they also serve nice salads. It's a night club so as the hour gets later the place gets loud.

We are heading that way now. I don't have a complete outfit I could wear so I will go underdressed, I think that's the term.

All of the Hamburger Mary's follow a similar format. All are LGBTQ welcoming and are big supporters of Pride around the country.They are a good thing!

They serve food until about 9:00. Then, it becomes a club. Take your ear plugs if u stay after dinner! But, you'll have a ball watching all the Tgirls strut around!

What a great time! We stopped at the park where my wife painted my nails. Changed from my street shoes to the sandals we got last week and off we went. When we arrived at close to 8:00 there were very few people there. The few that were there were all put on the patio.

We ordered drinks and shared some appetizers. As the evening wore on more and more people showed up. We totally lost track of time. Just when the place started hopping, we realized we were about 30 min lat to leave.

I'm sure we are going back. Next time arrange to stay out much later.

Your nails are very pretty! I'm glad you had a good time at HM.

Be sure to give your wife a big hug for being so helpful and understanding. These sort of outings can be very stressful at first for them as they tend to assume the "mother lion protecting her cub" role.

You never said which HM you went to, and there are two in SoCal. At the one in Long Beach they have a TG party on the first Saturday of the month. Definitely a great experience and an opportunity to meet several girls from this forum.

We went to the long beach club. As well as the first sat of the month being tgirl Saturday, Tuesdays are tgirl Tuesday. They had a karaoke contest. The staff was awesome, the food was wonderful. I don't know that we have ever had as good of a time out on date night as we did last night. We are arranging with our daughter to stay home Tuesday nights so we don't have to leave so early next time


Many hugs and thanks to my wife for her support, acceptance, and coaching. She chatted a bit wit a couple of the girls while i was in the bathroom. Probably it was one of the best date nights we have ever had. It's great! Frequently I will hear giggling followed by "I'm just having too much fun with this"! I am so very grateful to be able to explore this aspect of myself with her. She was instrumental in my coming to understand that I needed this. She instilled in me the desire and with baby steps the courage to take this out of the bedroom and into the community.

We are going to Vegas next week to celebrate her birthday. We intend to go out on Fremont St together as girlfriends. My wig won't have arrived yet, but probably we will do some shopping there. Otherwise maybe I just go in my nails *shrugs*

Oops, I forgot about T-girl Tuesdays at the Long Beach HM. It's great that you and your wife are having so much fun. After all, that's the main reason for doing anything! :)

It's a shame they don't have the same sort of party at the HM in Denver. They have drag queen bingo, karaoke, and a drag cabaret though. Don't know if any of the other Denver ladies frequent there?

I think we used to have a HM here in San Diego, but it closed down years ago. Long Beach is only a couple of hours away though.

What it takes is promotion! Jamie started the T-girl events at HM simply because she saw the need for it. Once the word got out the events were quite successful. You might get in touch with her and find out what she did to get her nights rolling and duplicate it at your HMs!

Clubbing isn't my cup of tea, but every once in a while Persephone and i will make the trek down to HM to have dinner and enjoy the company of some forum friends until things get too loud. For the club ladies the party is fantastic and goes on into the wee hours! It's a great venue for folks who are a bit hesitant to go out as they are totally accepting. Just watch out for those Margaritas! :shots:
