Would we enjoy dressing as much if there were no mirrors in the world?

I know I enjoy looking at the transformation, I am not sure if it would slow my dressing down, it's at a snails pace anyway.

just a query that popped in my lil noggin.

YES.

Tried for a simple answer, but this site needs at least 15 characters in order to constitute a real reply worthy of posting.

I have two sets of breast forms... Some that feel real, and some that look real. Last night I was dressed for feel. No mirrors needed. Friday night I'll dress for look. Then I'll be all over the looking glass.

No mirrors! Putting makeup on would be a B%?#*:D, but I'd still do it...it's my nature.

Mirrors are a must, I would still dress but when I'm dressed up I HAVE TO LOOK IN A MIRROR, I'm always checking myself out, making sure everything looks just right. I guess if there were no mirrors I would take more photos.

Would be fine with me. The mirror is only their to help part my hair and try to get the makeup on. I also do a quick check to make sure I got everything on. Used to check if my slip was showing, but seldom wear them today.

I have got to have the mirrors. I guess they are really a part of it all which I have never really thought about them that way. I have on a few occasions said that they are one of my friends, but and with all my wild imagination, if there were no mirrors, I would do this anyway. But how could we apply the make up if there were no mirrors? But I's still do what I have to do anyway even without mirrors.

I would have to go buy a sheet of polished stainless steel and mount it on a door.

I guess I would have to rely on people being honest if there were no mirrors! Otherwise how would I know if my lipstick was smeared!!

I think it depends on how long you stand/sit in front of the mirror. If you use the mirror to do your hair, makeup and make sure your dress is on straight - good!

If you spend hours admiring yourself - you are bordering on narcissism.

If there were no mirrors I'm sure that one enterprising lady would invent them (right Karren???).

It won't ever happen Hon. All of the babes in ancient history made sure of that.:)

I'm always checking my femme reflection, so would definitely be a problem in my life with no mirrors.

What the point of vanity without a mirror?

What??/ No mirror? How would we shave then?

And without that close shave, we would look silly in a dress. :-(

I still would. I can still feel the clothes hugging my body, and I can still see my painted toenails peeking out from a nice pair of shoes!

I can get enjoyment dressing without a mirror, but for the best experience I like several large mirrors. But if family members came over and saw a room full of mirrors they'd think I flipped my lid!

Good question I think i don't need mirrors in fact a lot of time I wish I didn't have them. Sometime I like to just get dressed no make up or even wig. when I go about my business I feel 100% women looking down at my hands cloths body all i see is women. What a great feeling I

Merle Haggard had a song years ago "I Never Go Around Mirrors" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K28ARN-kCg

As pointed out above, we need mirrors to shave, apply makeup, earrings, etc. If we didn't have mirrors we would have to look at the toaster to do these things. :heehee:

I do look into the mirror from time to time when dressed, but I really prefer photos because that's the way others see me. I recently realized that my laptop PC has a built in camera and it's great for just casually seeing how I look to others.

I have a photograph.... No! photographs of me when I was twenty....
I look at those and dream....
I then walk past a mirror..........

Next question please?

Putting on eye makeup without a mirror. Sounds like something off one of those TV challenge shows, Marks out of 10 for this contestant?

Answers to your question might reveal what it is that drives the crossdressing. For me, mirrors (especially a full-length one) is a necessity.

Hi Tabitha, A mirror like a camera can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
