I was on a business trip and got the chance to dress for the trip home. This was an all day driving trip. I don't get to dress in public much. (Wife doesn't know). Before I left for home I did a little shopping. I picked up a nice summery sleevless dress - just slightly above knee length. On the way home, I had to stop for gas. Felt great pumping gas with the breeze blowing up my dress! Next stop was a touristy town with a lot of people walking up and down the streets. I used the women's public restroom with no problems. I just walked around town a bit. Felt better every minute! Nobody seemed to give me a second look. I guess I passed all right. I saw a lot of women dressed similar to me. What great feeling! Looking forward to the next trip. http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/images/smilies/happy.gif

Isn't it great traveling fem! Be careful though lots of creeps out there. Remember women usually don't drive at night by themselves. A woman alone at night draws attention from many including police.

That is great. I think it is paradise when you get a chance to get out dressed. I agree with Liz, definitely be careful going alone. :)

Yes please be careful traveling alone dressed as a woman. My wife has just about quit going anywhere by herself out of town. She has taken the Texas Concealed carry course and it makes she and I feel better just here in our small town. There are a lot of crazy people around and every one should just keep a heads up when traveling. Be safe.

Business trips are great dressing opportunities, though I just stick to my hotel room ;)

Regrets for me. I spent a significant part of my life traveling and in hotel rooms and was afraid of dressing. Note to self, I was an idot.

Like Julie, I dress when I'm traveling but do stick to my room/apartment. No real interest in going out. Your trip does sound like real fun, though.

That's very cool. I dress mostly for work these days, and not so much other times. I think we all get comfortable with where and how we dress. As many have already said and I will be an echo... Be very careful when dressing on the road, there are more than a few horror stories.

I'm assuming you had more than just a dress on. Wig? Forms? Padded panties? Makeup? And I'm assuming you did something about arm and leg hair.

If your wife doesn't know, how do you hide these things?

I went for many years hiding my dressing from my wife and had some close calls and finally got caught trying to get out of one of her blouses in a hurry. A little over a year ago I came clean and have been dressing (at home) ever since without the fear of her catching me. It's a big load off.

If there's any way, I suggest telling her. I know it's scary and she might not take it well, but it's better to tell her than to have her catch you.

PS: Be glad you didn't get a photo speeding or red light ticket in the mail after you got home!

Terrific Kelly. Bet the time past so quickly. Did you make some stops that you didn't really need to make as your confidence increased?

Oh, yeh - wig, forms, some makeup. Lucky I have almost no hair on my legs, not too much on my arms. At home I keep my stuff locked up in a tool closet. Travel was during daylight hours.
