It has been a busy couple of days!

Thursday night my spouse and I were out for the evening with Eryn, her spouse, and their stunningly beautiful and delightfully charming daughter. I'll let Eryn post the details.

Despite the late night of fun my spouse and I had to be up at 5:45 a.m. on Friday and on the road before 7 a.m. to rush downtown to the L.A. Superior Court to take care of some business.

After several hours at the courthouse the judge issued an order in our favor. We had a quick lunch, ran an errand in the area, and headed out to Burbank to deliver the order.

That didn't leave us much time to get ready for a dinner party we were attending in the evening.

My poor little feet had been in heels for pretty much 24 hours (except for a couple of hours of sleep) and they were telling me all about it! The last shoes, the red ones, were cutting into my toes and really hurt!

Here they are in order, my evening out shoes, my courthouse drama shoes, and my dinner party shoes.

I don't know, Barbara, those dinner shoes look a bit conservative for you! :)

In the photo of us together I am wearing modest 2.5" heels which is unusual for me but we were going to a place where most all the ladies wear sky-high heels. and I didn't get much attention, particularly if my daughter was nearby!

Love the photo of you two together, you both look great. I know what you mean about your feet Barbara, I love my heels but _________!!

Persephone,

I'm glad it was a bunch of good events even if your feet paid the price! Your descriptions (and choice)of the shoes are perfect, they'd have evoked the images even if the pictures weren't there.

Persephone,
Glad that you had a good time and everything went well for you. I know how the poor feet can feel after wearing heels for awhile. Just a price we girls pay to look pretty. Speaking of pretty, love the pictures, especially the one of you and Eryn. Thanks for sharing them.

Thanks y'all!

And this evening, one day later, we were at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills for the L.A. Conservancy's showing of the magnificent 1942 film Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

So it was back into heels, 5" (12.7 cm) wedges with 1" (2.5 cm) platforms, for this event.

The same toes were getting viciously sliced and diced but I think I'm getting used to the pain.

Hugs,
Persephone.

Hi Barbara, Didn't you read the Crossdresers handbook it says that "no one ever said that being a lady was going to be easy".

You and Eryn always know to have a wonderful time jut two ladies having fun.

Barbara,
I can't punish my feet for too long with anything higher than two inches.
That works fine for me.

Did you see a 35mm film version or was it a digital presentation?

The film version presented on the screen of a 1930's art deco theater. It opened on September 19, 1930 with the Los Angeles premier of the Marx Brothers film Animal Crackers (Fay Wray, Jeanette MacDonald, and Robert Montgomery attended the premier) and was also the site of the premier of How to Marry a Millionaire starring Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and Lauren Bacall.

With the 105 degree temperatures and walking possibilities I chickened out for Casablanca. Nice flat thong sandals for me! I did get a nice compliment on my dress from one of the conservancy volunteers! Little things like that make me feel great!

I'm not too fond of my arms in that photo, but we make do with what we have!

You girls have soooo much fun! We have a very nice theater in town, built in 1928 and designed by architect John Eberson. They rarely have any good programs I want to attend.
