I recently heard that the new fad is for boys to wear girls jeans. I do not mean boys like us either. I friend told me that her daughter had a party and they were going to play twister. A number of boys had to go upstairs and take off thier pants as they were too tight. Apparently this is becoming a thing. Maybe there is hope for the world to understand us if this becomes the new trend.

Okay, I googled it.

http://www.charleston.net/stories/?newsID=59925&section=ink

It's teen guys wearing junior cut jeans. Junior styles are more boyish than misses styles. They're for girls who do not have fully matured hips et al. Does it make sense? Who knows? All I can say is, "Good for them!"

Yeah, some of the boys at my kids' high school do that. It's called 'emo', based on some style of music, I think. My son just started wearing those kind of jeans, because some of his friends are. Usually he's into the baggy, skateboarder look.

I wouldn't really consider it crossdressing, at least as most of us know it. But that's just my two cents.

Now if we could only get some to start wearing skirts, then prehaps we could change some views.

I've been wearing tight women's jeans for nearly three years now. I don't know whether they are considered Juniors or Misses but they are not the Woman's sizing. I purchase these from Newport News in the slim fit style. Apparently these do have one of the characteristics described in the original post. They are less full in the hips which works well with my slightly less than adequate fullness in that area. I have found though that my padded panties still fit in them if I'm so inclined. While we are on this subject, I want to use it to illustrate something that I'm sure some others in this group have realized. I wore these jeans (along with male jeans at times) around my long term gf for a couple of years before I actually made her aware of my dressing. She never noticed that they were women's jeans. A point to make here relating to this: People don't always pay as much attention to our dress as we might feel they do. So, for all of you, like myself, that venture out in some form of understated femme attire, just turn down your level of apprehension just a little which might just add to your level of confidence. Just a thought. Comments?? :)

I started checking out womens blue jeans on E-bay, and started buying them and buying them.
The spare closet in my spare bedroom now has over 15 different pairs of womens jeans, 5 pair of womens slacks, at least 10 black skirts in various styles, lengths. and fabrics. Not counting the 15 various sweaters and at least 10 lace cami tank tops. I love changing into my womens jeans and nobody ever notices. Oh yea, they look good when I'm wearing one of my 15 different pairs of womens high heels., but thats a different subject.

I won't wear jeans to dress like a woman. Skirts and hose are what I like.

I think there's a place for most all levels of dress for most of us. There are two things about jeans for me. They go well with my footwear fetish, which btw is not for heels, although I have those also, 20 pairs and counting). The second thing about jeans is that I can be out in public in them and my footwear and a mildly femme top without being that obvious. This mode is, of course, without makeup and wig but all my clothing is femme and it pleasures me to know that. AND, there is always a pair of hose under those jeans. I do dress totally for pics and outings and this can be seen in my Yahoo profile pics. R. :)

Wouldn't it be nice if this trend of boys in girl's jeans were to eliminate those ridiculous baggy jeans so many wear now. Forget the CD aspect of that, it would just sooooooo improve the overall scenery out there and help the younger males possibly project an image of something other than a wannabe gangsta R. :)

Alright I am old, a few months short of 50. I don't understand women's jeans for crossdressing. at least not for MtF crossdressing. I have hated being forced to wear pants all my life. Now finally with 2/3 of life gone I have given up pants for this lifetime. I think jeans are great for the purpose they were intended, heavy manual labor. I find jeans binding and scratchy This is regardless of what sex they were intended for, or how often they have been washed. My daughter tells the more expense a pair of jeans are the more comfortable. I will never own a $100 pair of dungarees, so I will never know. I have noticed now that my daughter buys her own jeans, she is getting by in cheaper and cheaper jeans, Only in a weird materialistic universe could jeans become high fashion and then the avant garde of fashion becomes wearing jeans cut for the opposite sex. I still think women otherwise dressed as women look silly wearing neckties. Every time I eat out and the waitress is wearing a tie and shirt with buttons on the right, I chuckle. I wonder what would happen if I owned the restaurant and asked all the help to wear a full length apron and a string of costume pearls An apron would have some practical value and the necklace would not be in the customers' soup. I am not only old, I am getting set in my ways. I just don't get high heels and blue jeans. Heels make your legs look better by standing you on your toes and lengthening the perceived line of the leg and forcing you to bend your back so that your hips and chest simultaneously protrude. In order to get the cuff of tight pants to ride up sufficiently to allow you to walk you need to bend your knees a great deal while you walk. The more you bend your knees the less the heels make your legs tight and your butt protrude. This isn't fashion its physics. I have spent a good deal of time watching women in pants and heels. (I like looking at women, even if I dress like they used to dress and am happily married ) Most look as if they are walking up a considerable grade when moving on the flat. Except for the clicking noise you would never know they they were wearing heels until they sit down. There is only so much of your life you can spend standing on your toes, unless you want to enrich the chiropractic and foot specialist. Why not save it for showing of your legs in skirt ? Cheers, Katie Anne

I have never worn girls jeans or any form of women's pants for that matter so I can't comment on what they feel like. I have heard about this new trend though and it is all OK by me.

I can't say that I will ever wear girls jeans though as I don't really feel the need to. I like wearing skirts too much and when dressing I would never choose pants when I can wear a skirt.

Are we talking about drainpipe jeans?

Yeah, some of the boys at my kids' high school do that. It's called 'emo', based on some style of music, I think.
Ok... yes, we are talking about drainpipe jeans.

No relation to CDing then? B*gg*r... Means I can't stroll into a dept. store and by myself some fem jeans! Ah well, I will anyway.

Well I have gone out on a couple occasions in drab, but wearing a skirt (plain, long and black). Wasn't too bad, I overheard one guy say "he's cool, he wears a dress!" So that was fun.

So I don't think it's a far stretch, I do believe there were also mens sarongs selling one summer trying to be trendy. I don't think that really caught on.

Also it is definatly a refreshing change compared to the baggy gangsta pants that look like they are going to fall off at any moment.

When shopping for boy jeans I always look for ones that have a more fem style. example: ones that make my tush look nice and are slim fitting lower rise boot cut or flared.

Too bad when I crash my motorcyle I always seem to be wearing my nicest jeans! but now they look totaly trendy because they are so distressed, faded and have holes in them.

girls jeans fit better and look stylish. I like lizwear and gv jeans. I like the femme feel.

Music industry for some reason has influenced this phenomenon of boys wearing girls jeans.

This style of boys wearing girls jeans is within that " emo " culture. Why exactly? I'm not sure why it's only with the emo culture of black tee shirts, black hair, and alternative music. Although, I do know that a lot of the " emo " kids that wear girls jeans are really skinny, and they prefer to wear jeans that fit them better than men's jeans would, because a men's jean would be too baggy, I think. I saw it discussed on a message board somewhere .. it's all about the fitment.

I sort of like this trend .. even though I'm in no way an " emo " kid. At least I can walk out in my juniors' jeans without a care in the world. :D

I agree Marla!! Give me a dress, high heels and hose anytime!

I may have to try some of these jeans though, I really have never found a pair of men's jeans that ever fit me right, and I think I would like a pair of low rise jeans in more of a menswear style. Not super low cut, but lower than traditional men's jeans.

Most of the jeans tailored for men are way to much of a relaxed fit.

I've one pair of jeans and one pair of slacks for women. I think it's tougher to look good enfemme in pants than in a skirt. I prefer skirts and dresses, but I'm beginning to see the practical side of blending in when going out, so I believe I'll be shopping (drab) soon for a nice pair of pants fitting for the "office."
P.S. I don't know if I'd try wearing the jeans drab... they're much too short and only look good wearing heels.

I have 3 pair of women's jeans.
they tend to show off my.....er... pockets better, and give me a better shape. But I even wear them..in male mode.

And they were cheaper than most of the men's jeans I usually have bought! :)

All the jeans I wear in drab are flared! But I wear them very low on my hips so I'd love to get a pair of hipster flares or something for everyday wear.. The crotch on my boy jeans is down between my thighs so I reckon a pair of hipsters would be just ace!

Hmmm time to get my girlfriend to think the same thing, I wonder if she will be convinced if I show her that news article!

My mom would only buy me girl jeans during high school. But for every pair of jeans I, I had 5 sets of dresses growing up. Even though I am in the military she still buys me girl clothes because she will always think of me as one.

Oh Reana, Me Too! Though I'm out to my wife now I've been wearing a pair of my Wife's discarded tight stretch jeans for weeks as a bloke and she could'nt believe it when I told her, but I wear them as my boy jeans they don't make me feel gurly at all.
As Jenny I have some really sexy jeans and they make me feel really Femme matched with a nice top and heels!
Love and Hugs.
Jenny

I had a very lengthy and thoughtful reply typed relating to Jenny's post here but for some unknown reason it disappeared before I could post it. SO, I just want to say thank you to Jenny for agreeing with which ever of my prior posts you are agreeing with. It seems that the majority do appreciate the place of girl's jeans, at times, in our dressing preferences. I think we all know that jeans don't, in any way, displace skirts or dresses for serious dressing but they do have a place in what I call my "casual femme" mode. This is the only mode my current girlfriend can tolerate (although she is very aware of my serious dressing) and I consider it a fair compromise for now. R :)
