That's quite an Intro Amanda! Especially as pic limits are at 600! An honest "newbie" mistake.

Welcome and have fun poking around. You can do a lot more poking once you get 10 posts btw.

What do you mean by the pic limits are 600?

PIC size INFO is about 2/3rds of the way down the page.

YOUR pic was at least 1000 long. While it lasted...

LATE EDIT: You can post a slew of pics at the pic and video gallery AFTER you get 10 posts.

Thanks Amy...not sure what look to go for really or how convincing I look...but its early days I suppose :)

Hmm, that outfit looks most suitable for a younger lady going clubbing. Is that the look you're going for? If not, you may want to tone it down a bit. You may need more practice with makeup, too, but then again, who among us doesn't? Especially when practicing can be so much fun! :)

If it's still just "early days," I think you're on the right track. Keep developing your presentation, and eventually you may feel like stepping out as Amanda!

Thanks for the advice. I am 24 and a bit of a party animal so the look I am going for is just kind of a female version of "me". The make up is I suppose what will make or break the look..too little I will just look like a guy in a dress and a wig...too much I will just look like a guy in a dress and a wig with bad makeup! The clothes I am wearing belong to an ex gf who left them behind when she moved out. The "scary" bit for me I suppose it actually going out and buying the make up and the clothes.

Not sure what look to go for? That's an easy peasy question. Go for whatever makes YOU happy! Hugs,Tonya

With regard to the makeup...this page (http://nancywichmann.com/makeup_crossdresser.html) is where I learned the basics of my makeup technique. I practiced for a long time with one of those big cheap makeup kits you get at Walmart around Christmastime, then switched to L'Oreal ('cause I'm worth it :) ) once I knew more of what I liked. (Oh, also read this page (http://nancywichmann.com/shaving_crossdresser.html), too!)

As far as clothes go, once you know what sizes fit you, you can always buy online. But other girls have reported that they've gone shopping for clothes both in drab and en femme, and never had any trouble. Certainly I've never had any. (Shopping as Amy is fun!) Stores want your money, first and foremost.

Just keep working at it, and develop a style that fits you.

I love the jacket and stockings. Now what you really need are some 4 inch heels ;)

Thanks everyone for all your welcomes and advice :) just another question....what do you all do about your eyebrows/bodyhair? I know it sounds quite random but I have quite dark body hair and thick eyebrows, hence why I wear tights and a jacket to help cover it up. I don't really know how I am going to make my eyebrows more feminine without people asking questions. Anyone faced this before? Also does anyone have any tips for "thinning" arm hair without removing it completely?

Amanda, cute look, love the stockings! after doing this for about 63 years off and on, mostly on for the last 40 years. I've found I only have three rules for picking out clothes.
1. They got to fit right. (definition of right)you have to like the way it hangs on you, whether you are going for tight and sexy or looser and free spirited.
2. style - some will tell you need to wear age appropriate clothes (but watch out, around here it may be a 70 year old in a mini skirt.) my idea of style is I have to think it's cute, and will look good on me.
3, and this one is the most important it's a two part answer. Part A it's got to be FUN to wear, and here's the big one, the whole thing, feel, look, and smell all have to come together and MAKE ME HAPPY!!
And it's as easy as that.

You look great. That is the young look and I feel you could head out there and have a good time. Enjoy it, I waited until I was older to be brave enough to venture out and now I am sorry for that. Years ago people would not have been so accepting, a lot better now, not perfect yet but better.

you already have a thread like this in the introduction area. You don't need to re-introduce yourself in other areas
