So, I ran into an article recently which got me thinking about how my views on my desire to dress as a girl were affected by the religion of my family as I was growing up. How do you think the religion of your family when you were growing up affected your attitudes and fears about your desire to CD or your feeling that you were female? I know that some religions can be very strict or extremely conservative in these areas, as they see TG in the same light as being gay.

Here is the article:

As I have dreamed since the age of seven or so about living my adult life as a full time female I have had concerns, but I have come to gripes with my "lifestyle DNA", and just accept that I am A CD and likely more, what exactly I don't know. I have over the last year of so actually attended Mass, several times,in fact, dress entiely female. I have had no bad responses.I am at peace with myself and I believe that my relationship with God is growing & growing.

I actually did some extensive research on this a few weeks ago. Interesting thing is I found exactly 0, ZERO, nada, zip, none references to cross-dressing in the Bible.
There are however, well over 100 that condemn sitting in judgement of others.

PS. I do know about the reference to wearing women's clothes in Deuteronomy, this link explains that pretty well. http://www.dglenn.org/words/deuteronomy.html

BTW, my ex-mother-in-law has been very silent since I pointed this out to her...

discussions of religion are meant for the religion sections. I am closing this before it gets to be a flame festival. Repost in religion if you wish
