I've recently been approached about doing a pinup photo shoot for a soft-core "porn" site. There's no sex involved, just getting dressed and taking provocative photos.
Would anyone here do this? Thoughts?

Hi Kitty, Be careful what you wish for, Once they have the pictures they will be out there for ever.

The fact that they'll always be out there is my biggest hesitation. It's the reason I turned down performing in videos a few years ago. I know sex isn't involved with this shoot, but I also know I'm weak and if they brought some men in, I doubt I'd resist in the moment.

Kitty this seems very simple, "Dont Do It".
The fact you have some hesitation suggests you should not go anywhere near this photo shoot.

You just need to remember that those photos are gonna be out there forever hanging over your head. For me, that means "no, I aint doing it".
Also, you should keep in mind that the "I'm a photographer, let's take pics!" ploy is one of the oldest in the book to get the attention of a woman. Take it with a grain of salt and be SURE that you consider the possible motives of the person who made the offer.

Shelly, it's not quite that simple. I'm very voyeuristic. I love the idea of posing and having pictures/videos taken. I'm just trying decide if my hesitation outweighs my natural desires, and see if there is an angle I'm missing that y'all can help with. Think I'll talk more w/ my wife about it.

I thought that maybe I should clarify my own attitude. "Pinup" I would do in a heartbeat, 'cause I sort of love the hell out of what I'd think of as tastefully done pinup art.
"Soft Porn" on the other hand, I suppose could mean just about anything, and THAT would concern me.

Kimberly,
Thanks for the clarification.
Edited because I wasn't sure if posting links to sites like that is acceptable.

I agree with Kimberley. While i might be tempted to do tasteful pinups,, anything other than that, heck no. I've been burned once before with pics taken privately that ended up where they shouldn't have. Be very careful. Even if you have an ironclad guarantee and its only of tasteful pinups, you cant control second and third order effects.

It's amazing the thought process people go through , porn by the definition is graphic or writing that elicits a sexual response in others, so to say it's non sexual is a bit self misleading. As others have said what goes on the internet stays forever, and what you have to think about is your spouse and family.

Not for me, it is not necessarily unsavory to do soft porn stuff it can be a way to better things.
You do need to mix with others in the industry to find out for yourself.
There is also a seedier side to it involving being very streetwise about what is available.
As I say not for me, but I do know of those that are on the other side of the tracks and it is not for the naive.

Hi Kitty, I agree w/ others in not doing it. Remember, people in this field are not always honest. They do have the "cut and paste" ability which I'm sure is not included in the contract.

Add my vote. I wouldn't. Once someone "owns" your image you lose control over it. You could be sorry later and in some ways it might come back to haunt you.

This doesn't seem like a wise idea to me. There are some honest and upstanding operators out there, but there are also too many twits that just make trouble.
The other problem is once your picture is out there, you have no control over it.

I have done pin ups. To me though a pin up is what your grandfather (or in some cases father) used to hide in his wood shop. Just like stripping is different now than 50 years ago. I say yes to pin ups (Vargas, Elvgren, Frahm or even Olivia) but if the there is any hint of naked genitals...I keep that for certain others, not public

I would think I am in the majority in saying DON'T DO IT! To model for a friend or a lover, to do pin-ups (although think the more modern term is boudoir photos), or even nudes on a one on one basis is your business. But you do it for a pro you sign way your rights as to where and how that photo is used. Don't let a moment of some guy plying you with a line of s^^^ cloud your judgment!

I take photos like that all the time, Kitty. However, they r MY photos in MY camera! I post them where I'm allowed to and I'm sure some r copied and used for who knows what! Much as yours would be if u do the shoot. I don't care if mine r taken. I find that flattering and I only post shrunken photos anyway. The only size this site allows.
I can't advise u to do it not because I don't know any of the important details!

Kitty I understand your need to have a photo shoot. The only safe solution available would be to ask your wife to take the photographs. This means you have control of them. One of our members here signed her rights away to a particular photograph. That picture is now in a very public place ( luckily it is a lovely photograph of her face only )
However she will never be able to escape that picture.
I would urge you to be very careful.

Is your wife comfortable with it?
What are the chances of you being blackmailed somewhere down the line?
Perhaps the answers to these questions will help you make up your mind.
I am with those who advise you not to do it.
It's safer in every way.

Kitty...I think that you should be careful, especially with the fact that you might just upset your wife past her breaking point

I think that you best start with an avatar picture for here that your wife can take for you...then you can work on your"soft porn" shots afterwards...

Id put a lot more thought into it but my short answer, if it were me, Id do it because Im down for anything at least once.
Once pictures are posted online, you lose control over them. So, if you are not totally out, study the pros and cons of this endeavor very carefully.

It's not just once they are on line, it's more like once you let someone else take those pictures, they have control of them, you don't. Do you know the person that wants you to pose for them well enough you trust them with that power?
When you say soft porn that covers a lot of stuff, how far are you willing to go? And someone else brought up an important point, what does you wife think about this whole idea, mine would flip out!

I've posted tons of pics and vids for adult tube sites and it has been a huge thrill. There has been 2 keys to this for me. In makeup and a wig, I am totally unrecognizable from my male self so I don't care who sees them or where else they may end up. The other key is that I took all the pics and vids myself so there was never anyone else involved in their production. I have no idea how many offers I have gotten from guys that wanted to take pics or produce vids of me claiming to be pros after they have seen my stuff, but it has been a lot. I never trusted any of them further than I could throw a grand piano. There are a lot of sick pervs out there and you never know what else they might have in mind, So my advice to you is to stay away from this guy like the plague. If you want to know some sites were you can post your own stuff on, feel free to PM me.
