View Full Version : Are you blessed with Small Feet?

First of all, this is not to gloat or anything...I honestly feel bad for CDers with feet larger than size 10, because trying to find the right shoes even in 9/9.5/10 is a task. I am curious to see who else here wears women's shoe sizes on the smaller size of the CD spectrum.

I'm fortunate enough to have small feet (size 8.5) but I sometimes wish they were even smaller. Normally I wear a women's size 9, sometimes 10. My feet are narrow enough to fit into a women's size 8 if they are open-toed sandal types, however I have a couple of pairs of size 10 pumps that are too tight. With flip-flops or slippers, I actually have to buy them in the women's section because the ones made for men are too wide and won't stay on.

Am I blessed or cursed?

U are totally blessed. As long as u wear anything lower than a 10 then u can find cute shoes almost anywhere. Unfortunately for me I wear a size 12 :/ but my eyes are always open so I manage to find cute stuff eventually.

I have womens size 9 very wide foot, so my shoe size is a women's 10.
I have bought a couple of women's shoes on Zappos.com, which the brand is exclusively Gabriella Rocha, because that brand often sells wide widths. My feet resemble a small version of Fred Flintsone feet. They look like short bricks.

I feel lucky. I can fit size 9 1/2 to 10 pumps, normal width. And I'm fortunate that my toes descend in size.

For as tall as I am, my feet are small. I wear a size 11 in women's. 9 1/2 - 10 in men's. I'm 6'1".... most guys I know my height have yachts on their feet. I'm fortunate that I can still shop for women's shoes in a regular store!

My feet are also normal width and have normal looking toes.... descending in order and look very feminine when painted up!

I am 5' 10'' and 8 to 8 1/2 on men's and narrow too yes it s easy to fit on a lot of styles of shoes, I am not sure if this the norm on other parts of the country but I noticed that a lot of Texas ladies are around the same size
I still consider myself lucky my sister hates her small feet, even the smallest woman size on some styles wont fit her and the kid sizes are usually narrow for her

It's a curse, I'm telling you, to be a women's size 9.5. Any shoe, any style, any color...they all fit perfectly. Sometimes a 9, sometimes a 10, usually a 9.5. Trust me, it's really a bad thing.

For reference, nails by OPI, sandals by Tory Burch.

Im one of the lucky ones as well. My feet are standard width 8.5 to 9 Australian which I think equates 1 to 1 with US. I can buy shoes off the shelf and do so regularly. Unlike Mariainheels who has over 200 pairs (lucky girl) of high quality foot luxury I only buy from generic stores like (australians will know) Betts and Betts, Airflex, ZU NOVO etc...I also wear cuban heel ladies boots (with a 2 inch heel) every day to work and not one person has commented on it.
I am 5 foot 7 and 140 lbs so size 8.5 - 9 is average for me.....Ellie

I am shorter than you Barbara at 5-6 with similar sized feet at 8 1/2 narrow. So, I normally wear women's shoes in sizes 9 to 9 1/2 for closed toed heels and flats, 8 1/2 to 9 for open toed flats and heels, and 8 1/2 for strappy sandals. My boot size ranges from 8 1/2 to 9 depending on the brand and style. I love my small feet which have always, and still do, cause me fitting problems in male shoes, especially loafers/moccasins, which is a style a prefer for dress casual. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my small feet that are shaped very well with no corns nor callouses. My nail salon techs always tell me what great shape they are in and how soft they are. So, yes, I am very pleased with my feminine feet after all those years putting up with them in male mode.

It sounds so terrible Sara! I'm sure you have a hard time saying NO to buying all of the cute shoes you can get your hands on. I can't begin to tell you how many times I found a pair of shoes that I absolutely LOVE, but can't find a pair in my size to save me. But..... It does help keep more money in my purse!

Pretty much the same height and size as myself. If my feet were normal or wide width I think I'd have a lot less options though. The only problem I've ever had with the smaller sizes was the ankle strap being to small. Like the heels of my feet are normal/wide but the rest of my foot is tiny.

I feel lucky. I can fit size 9 1/2 to 10 pumps, normal width. And I'm fortunate that my toes descend in size.

I guess this is key. My big toe and second toe are the same length on my right foot but the 2nd toe is slightly longer on the left, though the rest of my toes on both feet have a dramatic descension, like a quarter to half an inch difference as you go down to the pinky toe. It seems like my feet were made to wear womens shoes.

For as tall as I am, my feet are small. I wear a size 11 in women's. 9 1/2 - 10 in men's. I'm 6'1".... most guys I know my height have yachts on their feet. I'm fortunate that I can still shop for women's shoes in a regular store!

I've noticed that the common belief is that you have to go up 2 sizes from men to women's sizes (i.e. mens 9 = womens 11) but that has never been the case for me, except maybe certain pointy closed-toe shoes, but I've never really worn pumps that much. In most cases my male shoe size was equal to the female size, give or take a half-size.

edit: I guess the "2 sizes up" rule applies mainly to normal or wide width. Thank god mine are narrow :)

I usually wear a women's 9-1/2 (US), although due to the crazy sizing variations, my closet contains well-fitting shoes in every half size from 9 to 11. The selection in stores isn't quite as broad as if I were a 7-1/2 or 8, but I have no real trouble finding a variety of interesting styles.

The odd thing is that I wear a 10 in men's shoes, sometimes even 10-1/2. My feet are narrow by men's standards, with long toes.

I wear a men's size 10.5 which transfers to a women's 12 to 12.5. The other day, I spent several hours in the presence of another woman who was wearing a pair of open-toed sandals of exactly the same style of a pair that I have except a different color. When I first saw them, I almost spurted out, "I have a pair exactly like those!", but caught myself before I did.

I have a size 11 shoe size and I always hate it when I am shopping online and I sort the shoes by size. When I click on 11 the number usually goes from 1500 to around 2-300 and only 50 good looking ones. I can wear a 10 in some boots but I have to try those on first.

I am very blessed size-wise. I am 158cm tall (5'2" for the Imperialists) and 59kg (130lb). I take a size 9 women's shoe.

Of course, DNA gives and DNA takes away... I have tons of body and facial hair. :( Still, I suppose it's much easier to deal with hair than to alter one's height and foot size.

I come from a tall but little foot family, I’m 6ft tall and I fit into a (UK) woman’s size 7, and if I’m pressed an 8 will be a very easy fit, but in the UK 8 is really the cut off point for decent looking shoes, once you get into size 9 ect then there isn’t a range of good shoes to choose from and sometimes even an 8 is pushing it for the range, where as pretty much all shoes places cater for 7s and you can get a fantastic range.

One thing I’ve noticed is some shoes claim to be a 7 yet they are tight, say like 2 pairs of pumps made be different manufactures, they are both labelled as 7s yet one pair will fit a lot looser than the other set…which is annoying.

Lol the smallest I’ve slipped into is the ones I’m wearing below, I love these to bits because they fit so well and they are a shocking 6 and half yet they fit even if I am wearing frilly socks lol, I wear these pretty much all the time even when I’m driving lol

Ugh. I wear a woman's size 11. Nature has provided me with no arches, which flattens out my feet. My entire family, men and women, have huge feet. My sons wear size 14 men's. I can still find nice shoes in my size though. There are many more size 11s available now, in the stores and especially online (where sizes go up to 12-13), than there were when I was younger. Thankfully.

You should see the entrance to the house in the winter time when everyone takes off their boots/shoes. LOL

I'm in a 12 women's. Could be worse I suppose, but I find plenty that fits my personal style.

I got feet that rival bigfoots'. I'm a 13 in mens but can fit into a womens 13 wide, got a cute pair of flats from payless a couple of weeks ago that are a 13w. :)

I'm also a men's 13 and usually go with a women's 15, but I have some 14's, a couple 16's and just recently got a pair of 13WW that fit pretty well. Nice to know a 13 wide at Payless might be OK for me ;)

Men's 10.5, mostly go for a woman's 11. This works out ok if they're sized just a bit large (e.g., Jessica Simpsons). Otherwise I tend to just let them stretch out a bit through wear. This puts me on the cusp of in store shopping. DSW mostly yes, Dillards often yes, Macys no. Hugs, Michelle

If I had small feet, my wife loves her shoes and loves to buy and she never wears half of them and I would have had a huge selection, but I am a 10 but luckily you could still find nice shoes in that size.

As a CD, I love being able to wear women's size 7 or 8. The flip flops that I've been wearing all summer long in drab mode are from Kohl's in size 7/8, they fit perfectly and no one has noticed - or if they have, they haven't commented.

As a man, it's a curse. I worked in the construction trades at one time and had to buy my work boots in the women's section at Sears, since they didn't carry any boots smaller than a men's size 8. That's generally true in most department stores, size 8 seems to be the cut off point in men's shoes.

My men's size is 8.5 or 9 Narrow. I can wear a women's size 10B very comfortably. I can get stylishly shoes anywhere. I am currently 5'8" tall. Used to be 5'10" when I was younger.

I'm stuffed :( Brit men's size 11 is bigger than Brit women's 11, (which Long Tall Sally have, tantalizingly) .. so it's "tranny shops" for me if I want feminine footwear .. and most of their stuff is over-the-top 6 and 7 inch heel stuff in patent leather .. I did manage to get a nice pair of ballerina flats from a long-established CD shop in the East End of London .. it's so frustrating, though, knowing that if I order a pretty pair of 2" heels ( soft leather or fabric, bit of sparkle :daydreaming:) from LTS, they'll be just that little bit too tight and narrow, despite being "Size 11" ... :(

Size men's 10 AAA, women's 11 xn was 5' 9", now 5' 4" due to age and back problems. Had very flat feet until my doctor took pity and got me a pair of arch supports, which are painful after a few hours, so I wear women's sandals around the house. I have always been very concerned about finding shoes that fit and just to make sure there was something I could wear have hung unto those I have worn

My feet are size 8.5 (UK size). Meaning that in open toe shoes, I can "squeeze" into a size 8 (which most shops accommodate for here in the UK). But size 9's are becoming more popular here, which gives me a wider range of shoes to choose from.

I wear a 9.5 in guys. I don't know what my size in woman's shoes would be, but I've put a 12 up to my foot in the store and it looks like it would fit. Not sure if an 11.5 would fit too. Can't wait to find out.

Right on the Cusp. Longest foot measures 10 1/2 to 10 5/8 in long. In women's sizes, that usually translates to a size 10 1/2 or 11. Size 11 seems to be the limit for most brands.

UK size 10 here not quite side show Bob size but getting nice shoes that fit is a problem for me. I can get size 9 and its a squeeze but we all suffer for our form of expression

I will say though that there are alot more selections in my size 11 now than there were 15 years ago. I hated the 90's because all the women's shoes were hideous.

Wow lots of big feet here that has to be tough to deal with.
Ladies 9's sell out pretty quickly so I lose out on some cute shoes too.

I am usually a size 9-9.5. I thought that was big. After reading some of the posts here, I now realize that my thinking for all these years about feet/shoe size has been wrong. I guess I felt that way because women's shoe sizes typically end at size 9. Many times, there will be half sizes only up to 9, and then there will be a 10. In other words, they skip over 9.5, which is usually my exact women's shoe size. That has been very frustrating for me over the years.

More money in your wallet is the only benefit of having feet above a ladies size 10, if I had smaller feet I'd have a closet full of cute shoes

I have Fred Flinstone shaped feet as well only larger 9.5 EEE to 10.5 EEEE mens. I have 1 pair of ladies 10.5W shoes the rest are 11s and 12s. All of the 11s are flip flops or stappy sandal types for Pumps I definitely need a 12.

Sadly Im 6'0" but I wear a size 10 women's. Sandals, especially high heel sandals, I drop it down to a size 9 women's, but with my height, I have no need for high heels. Its a bad look.

Size 9 mens, 10 womens. Some brands are a little tight, but it seems most styles go up to size 10, and some don't make them larger in certain styles. I purchased a shoe stretcher to get another 1/2 size if they are a little tight. I would like slightly smaller feet to fit all ladies shoes, but I am thankful I can fit in most.

I am 6'1 and wear a size 6 or 7 panty. I am looking to get some stocking with garter @ Vickies. I have some tights and some support tops but I was wondering if anyone knows of a size conversion or a recommended size for me.

I am sure there are better choices for the male body than VS But I love going shopping for panties and bras with my husband. Makes me feel all tingly annd empowered.

Any advice is appreciated. Also, any good place for shoes?
