This is mostly addressed to the girls here that have a SO that is either accepting or tolerant with their dressing because those still in the closet will never say such things lol

My So called Me a moment ago and asked "Are you busy?" my response was "just sitting at the PC reading "the forum". She then said "Can you do Me a favor? can you run downstairs and see if I left my bag on the kitchen counter?" I responded " I can walk downstairs, very carefully, and see if your bag is there". She was silent for a moment then came back with "Thank you Joanne, your such a sweetie".

Needless to say it made my day and she knew that I was dressed without Me directly saying so. Have you ever had a call like this?

Not exactly. But my wife and I do have some little CD related inside jokes.

That was very sweet of her.

My wife and I have had similar conversations and also "speak in code" to each other...sometimes around others as well!

My wife and I also have some code that we use on the phone and around others. She says that she can tell by my voice over the phone if I am dressed or not.

All the time, but I'm rarely dressed when it happens. I'm just the kind of person to respond like you did without it suggesting anything other than I'm a literalist sometimes.

Not necessarily a call, but we text occasionally in a similar manner. :)

We use code as well. The wife once referred to Misty as our "special friend." I immediately thought of Navan R. Johnson's use of that reference in the movie "The Jerk." Hmmmmm . . . .

My wife is starting to refer to me as Brenda when she needs a manicure. She likes the fact that I ca do one that lasts about a week and a half before it even starts to chip. When she does it herself, it starts chipping after a day or so. When that happens she says she needs Brenda to come adn do one. Makes it fun for both of us.

Yes, lots of us have that type of insctinct. About everything. It used to drive my kids crazy. And my ex never knew how I always seemed to figure out what he was up to. lol

But seriously, congratulations! Sounds like you have a great marriage. :)

What a great idea. Become my wife's personal Mani & Pedi specialist. It gives me practice, she gets a treat, saves us both some $$, and we spend some girl time together. With any luck it serves as a gateway to more girl time activities outside the house :D.

Yes, I have done my wife's nails for many years. Many times her friends have seen me working on her nails, or touching up polish and I have heard them say "my husband wouldn't do that for me". It is fun for her and for me too.
Joanne, you have a wonderful wife!

My wife will call and let me know she is bringing someone home with her so I can get back into "boy" mode.

Hi Sarah, It sound like her wife went out and couldn't find her bag and wanted to know if she left it home on the table.

That's how I read it.

We recognized early into Tina's life that she is really her own person so it quickly became natural to talk about Tina and her specific life issues. That quickly translated to easily talking to Tina as a separate person. To me that's been some of the most satisfying part of this adventure.
