Upcoming salon visit

I finally built up the courage to go to a local salon for a cosmetic consultation/application and possibly a hair consultation to see which style wig might best suit me. I am unsure if I should go dressed beforehand or in guy mode and bring a wig with me. Do salons trim or style wigs? I don't mind it being alterred as it is a synthetic hair wig. Any input would be greatly appreciated. My appointment is Friday! I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Hugs! Tiffany

Most salons will trim and style wigs. Remember, only human hair wigs can be styled.

If it were me, I would go dressed enfemme. I think I would feel out of place having a makeover while not being dressed.

I have done it both ways. I got the best results going dressed in my normal makeup. The salon owner, was able to find a color to go best with my skin tone, and then cut and shaped the wig for me.

I think I will go dressed. I am looking forward to getting some pointers. Thanks again for your input. I am still learning and appreciate any advice from more experienced ladies. I am looking forward to my appointment!
