Stopped into a gas station to use the bathroom and was walking towards the mens bathroom and the girl behind me said "excuse me ma'am thats the mens room.LOL.
I turned and smiled and she said "oh my bad you looked like a woman from the back".
I told her thanks for the compliment and she said "the hair and the jeans threw me off I apologize"
I said not a problem I love compliments. :)

It has to be a pleasure to be perceived as female!

Tracii....you are confusing people. Instead of 50/50 you need to be 60/40 :)

I can understand her confusion, but what made you want to use the men's room?

If the mens room was occupied I deff would use the ladies room.
Maybe I do need to go 60/40.LOL

Hi Tracii, I can sure see why the poor lady was confused.

Skip the 50/50! You're not antifreeze. But at 60/40, you'll warm a few things up!

The hair was pretty cute today I must admit and very feminine.
Loose waves at the top and tighter curls toward the bottom. The back part of the top had lift which helped I think.
I was stoked how cute it looked.

What would be the law there if you got caught in the ladies, and someone wsnted to sue you? To be honest I dont know what would happen in Australia either....Ellie

If someone else was in there I wouldn't go in in guy mode.If its a one holer I just lock the door. How could they sue you if no one else was in there with you?
I was in WalMart and went to the back and the girl was cleaning the mens room and she said use the ladies room its empty right now so thats what I did.

Had that happen at a Halloween party only the girl actually physically blocked my path and directed me to the women's. That was one of the only nights I felt like I passed. It is an odd feeling to be told you are a woman when you don't believe it yourself.

The day that starts happening to me, I'll be soooooooo damn happy. I get double takes at times, but that's about it.

Tracii - too true if its a one holer. I wonder how we stand (excuse the pun) going to the ladies though. Its an interesting idea, same as trying on clothes - womens change room or mens? What if someone complains?..Ellie

Kohl's is where I shop for clothes most often and the SA's there always direct me to the womens fitting rooms. The first time I shopped there I came out to the SA and said I was TG and which dressing rooms should I use? She said oh honey you are buying girls clothes so why not use the girls dressing room? Now go on and try everything on I want to see each out fit darlin so no cheating LOL.
She is so great to me each time I shop there.

i absolutely love your attitude and the way that you handle these situations...
two times last week in drab mode and having dinner with a friend, the waitress said, "you ladies ready to order"
it really did make me feel good!! then the night i was in a straight bar and dressed, someone referred to me as a "he",
i was shaken up and wanted to cry...makes no sense to me.

awesome. my bookkeeper who is an old lady and very well put together at all times, saw my nails today and said "oh my god, I like your nails. they look better than mine." It must have felt kind of like that.

Paula you just never know what will happen so be expecting things like that.
Blair it does feel strange but roll with it.

Blair it does feel strange but roll with it. Enjoy when it all goes your way,and let it roll off when it doesn't. If they misgender you once, let it roll off.More than that, remind them that they don't know what's in your panties,so why are they doing that? That is,unless you already told them..

I have found that the majority of people want to be nice and considerate, and if you appear to look more feminine they will treat you as such just out of courtesy. Most people do not like to be rude.

Traci, if you looked that good and passable instead of being 50/50 and confusing people why not go 90 or 100, dress totally fem with makeup and boobs and make it easy on everybody?

Mollyanne like 80% of us here under close scrutiny we don't pass even with boobs and make up.
There are days I do go 100 % female even sometimes a whole week enfemme. 60/40 or 50/50 can be more fun sometimes.
50/50 is where I feel the most comfy so that is why I do that.
