My wife and I will be in Las Vegas on the weekend of Sept 21 and 22nd. I will be dressing that Sunday for the entire day! I would like to hear any suggestions as to where to go and what to do! I will probably mix regular activities with some transgender specific places too. I can't wait!

Go mainstream. That's the most fun anyway. Drink and Drag is a popular "go to" place for many cross dressers but it's not great. Food is bad, drinks are expensive, and unless you are scared to be out, there is no need to go there.

Yes, go mainstream. My only trip en femme was for 3 days to Vegas. I did not go to any specifically advertised TG friendly place. I ate, shopped, watched, ate, walked, talked, visited, drank and even danced, everything that I would want to do as a guy. Just go and enjoy. Hopefully, you will encounter some cool weather because walking Las Vegas Strip block is like walking several normal city blocks. Go forth and enjoy!

We will be going too and it would be nice to find a quiet place to have a drink and just be.

Jennifer.

Some LGBT establishments in Las Vegas are listed here. http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/gayclubs/

I have been to Vegas a number of times and greatly prefer mainstream. There is nothing special or unique about the gay bars and clubs in Vegas compared to those in any decent sized city. Drink and Drag is the most interesting one, and I agree with the previous assessments. Most gay bars and clubs are well away from the Strip, thus not convenient if you are staying on the Strip. I had way more fun in the mainstream places including multiple casinos, restaurants, bars and shows.

Search this forum for Diva Las Vegas and you will find posts about Vegas experiences.

I have no suggestions as where to go, I just went everywhere.
Others will have makeover salons as a place to go, I just enjoyed myself.

Agree with Melissa 10,000%.

Stop by Macy's at Fashion Show Mall. Look for "Carrie" at the Benefit counter, hopefully she'll be working. Not only is Benefit a wonderful cosmetics line but Carrie is a wonderful person and a terrific artist. Have fun and be sure to share your experiences afterwards.

I was just out there in June. Went anywhere I wanted with absolutely no problems what-so-ever. We stayed a couple nights on Fremont St and a couple nights on the Strip. It was awesome.

I went to Las Vegas last May for a family wedding. Girl, you MUST stop at Heart Attack Grill. Who cares if their food goes straight to your thighs?

Agree with all comments. You might want to consider a make-up session (transformation). A great experience.

Just be yourself and have fun. Every place out here will have open arms.
The ppl are here are very acceptable and will seldom if ever say anything, you will most likely get compliments as mostregular girls here just seem to throw them selves together to get out the door.
If your looking for a nice quiet place to hang outand not worry I would head to The Escape Lounge on W Sahara. very nice ppl and the place is nice. Sunday is Karaoke night btw.

One week from tomorrow I am going to be running a marathon on the morning outside Salt Lake City. Hopefully I am going to qualify for the Boston Marathon! That afternoon I am flying to Vegas to meet my wife. Thanks for the responses. I think it's going to be one of the best weekends of my life! I am so blessed to have such a loving wife. I plan on spoiling her a little over the weekend also!

There's a bar called "Goodtimes". I'm not as brave as some so I really looked for a good spot. Amy at the Glamour Boutique recommended it and my SO and Nancie went there on a Wednesday night. Had a really good time and no one said a word. Had a few drinks and was almost to the point of dancing on the bar, I'm not much of a dancer though. Must have been there 3 hours or so. Drinks were reasonable and it was karokee night. Plan to go bck there when we go for New Years Eve. :daydreaming:
