Im kind of wondering if any other gurls here including gg's enjoy typical guy activities? Ok confused yet? Living in a rural farm type area me and my son went to farm tractor pulls tonight. I do enjoy them and have most all of my life, but as I sit there I look around and see mostly guys but a few girls too. So I get to thinking, if I was a girl would I still enjoy this kind of stuff. Example, Nascar, dirt track racing, farm tractor pulls. I think in my mind I would.
Do alot of you here enjoy this kind of stuff too, or does your feminine side prefer more feminine activities. I think its the tomboy side of me. I saw 1 gg there, wearing a pink pullover, cute jeans and western style boots and I thought, if I could that would be me.

I'm a GG. I wasn't raised in the country so things like tractor pulls are totally unfamiliar to me. I don't even know if I'd like them or not, however, I wouldn't rush out to see one at the State fair.

But, there are things that I do like that some people like to think are typical guy activities. I like to build things, refinish things, and generally be handy around the house. Trouble is, I don't consider those things guy activities. They can't be, since I am a girl and I enjoy doing them! lol

But seriously, the divorce rate is so high that both men and women have learned how to do everything around the home. I learned how to do that stuff out of necessity, to save money. I imagine there are men who start cooking for themselves and then discover they have a penchant for it, so they become accomplished chefs. The point is, none of these activities are male or female, it's just a question of doing and enjoying what we know and have been exposed to.

I'm all about the "guy things". I love football, fast cars, shooting guns, etc. I just happen to also like sexy skirts and dresses, lingerie, and of course, silky pantyhose! Just because you're dressed fem doesn't mean that you can't enjoy those "manly" things. I'm still learning about who I am after CDing off and on for most of my life. I personally don't feel I have to be girly just because I'm wearing female clothes. I hope that helps.

I enjoy baseball, football, working on my car, building stuff, fishing, cooking, baking, shopping, reading, movies, working out - all typical CD things.

I think it's getting more and more difficult to place activities into "boy" or "girl" categories. We can all be exposed to and learn about anything through tv and the internet. And as ReineD pointed out, people have had to learn how to fend for themselves. The best things my mother taught me before I left home were how to make spaghetti, sew on a button and iron a shirt. My gg fiance and I both love to ride motorcycles and cook. It's just not that clear anymore. Then there is context. If I make a frilly dress, that would be girly sewing. If I make a sail for a sailboat, I am using a power tool to assemble something!

Hi,

I worked on farms you name it i did it, sheep dear cattle or tractor work on top of that did building and maintained farm gear,
plus our own . now you may think okay mans work , think again women have done it for years, i happen to be one,

My interests are not just makeing sewiing clothes or just house work i dont do just female or just male things depending on how you see myself or percive me, typical male or typical female ill put my hand to any thing just not commuters or elctronics not my thing.

i dont subscribe to western thinking i just do what ever, here where i live people & friends know me well enough to not ? or say any thing its just you need something done get noeleena... she'll do it,

What im saying is if you enjoy something then go does it really matter if its a guy thing , & not many of us females turn up tough , just get out there, i think youll find theres more than a few who youd be surprised would go or do other things,

im no girle girl i may be a bit tough at times hey thats me enjoy life .as to tractor pulls ill give as good as any man.

I was never the sports minded type of guy, although I do like playing baseball. I know my way around the engine of older cars (these newer engines, well forget it) and I can do some plumbing and electrical work around the house.

But...I have a pastime that is normally associated with nerdy teenage boys. I am an avid, dedicated video gamer. Now this may not seem strange but picture this:

A mature crossdresser wearing a cocktail dress, wig, make up and heels, mashing buttons on an Xbox 360 controller
:OMG:

Yes. There you have it. I never grew out of my nerdy youth so long ago and have been playing video games for years. I guess in some respects, I never grew up.

Power to us gamer girls! I've often wondered exactly what the guys would think if they knew they just got owned in CoD by a guy wearing a skirt and pantyhose lol.

HI Erica,

For me I enjoy my male time and my manly activities. Does that mean that Isha does not or prefers to do more girly things . . . Nope . . . she enjoys them as well.

I agree with a lot of gals here, it is getting harder to identify what is feminine and what is masculine. I love to cook and always have . . . I grew up with a mother and two sisters whose idea of spaghetti sauce was ketchup. It was either learn to cook or starve . . . interestingly it was my uncle (one of the manliest men I have known) who taught me (he was a cook in the army).

Just yesterday, I was clearing brush off our property with a chain saw in male mode (love to do this, find it calming). Afterwards once I cleaned up and dressed, I was fixing a plumbing problem (something I also enjoy doing) en femme - jeans and a nice top . . . although my wife did point out she could see my panties while I was under the sink :o (lol)

So I think you will most likely enjoy what you always have though you may also explore other interests which you might not have in the past. If the desire to do something is strong in you, you will continue to do it.

For my fellow gamers . . . gamer girls rock! Both my wife and I are avid gamers :)

Hugs

Isha

I don't see why we can't work on a car in the afternoon and put on lipstick and heels at night. There is satisfaction in both. I love plenty of male things....football, drinking with the guys, etc...but one big question for me is that I do not have the typical male's ability to be tough and confrontational. I have seen a LOT of male aggression, and I just do not have it in me, although I can fake it if I have to. How of if this connects to crossdressing....no idea.

Erica, I live in the part of the country where football is a religion. There are so many girls watching the games as spectators , on tv, etc.. The women that I talk with that talk about sports... Football, basketball, golf, etc .. Typical gender stereotypes are slowly eroding with gender parity in athletics. Maybe we should require cd to be an athletic elective so that parity and acceptance would come sooner than later.

Erica, I like doing more than watching. But when I do watch sports it's only those where one's physical skills and power are required. So, I'll watch football (Go Steelers! And Darla I was routing for Denver), biking (bicycles), even tennis. An event where machines do the work or the human is just a passenger is uninteresting. I love carpentry and building "things" for use. If I was a woman, I hope I'd like all the same things. But given that my wife and daughters would watch "Say yes to the dress " over a Steelers game I'm not sure (my daughters were raised to love the Steelers).

I think there would be very little difference for me. I tend to do things that are out on the edge and there are always women there. Right now I wish I could do all the stuff I enjoy as a male, as a girl.

I donot like to classify activities as male or female - people do what they enjoy.

I have to lol because I am a "guys guy" when I am not Trish. It might seem strange to people how I could be that and yet embrace my feminine side but for me it is the best of both worlds.

Erica, I can tell you if you met me enhomme you would never know I am here. I used to play linebacker in school. I watch football, baseball. I love tractor pulls. I am remodeling my house and work on cars.
I also happen to love female clothes and am most comfortable when wearing a skirt and panties and stockings.

Most of my spare time activities are stereotypically male. Working on cars, motorcycles, basketball, racing, watching sports, computer flight sims, etc.. I don't really know a lot of female hobbies; it seems most women spend their spare time talking to other women, shopping, discussing their lives and their families, shopping some more, decorating and redecorating their homes, shopping for clothes and accessories online, then reading about shopping, clothes, relationships, kids, cooking stuff, etc.. Limiting myself to that would drive me nuts. I used to read the girl's magazines; they're stuffed full of make up ads, hair care and styling, clothing ads, articles about how to wear outfits and where to wear them, shoes, fashion stuff, and of course, how to get a guy to commit to a relationship, when to let a guy have sex with them, tricks to do sexually, how to spice up a relationship, how to figure out what a guy is thinking about, how to tell if your man is fooling around, planning weddings, planning parties, arrrrrggggghh. Plus, women need to be in constant communication with their female friends and relatives all the time. A guy can go for months, years even, without any contact at all with another guy friend, and we don't miss a beat. But if a woman cuts contact off for more than a couple of weeks, a woman will feel that she's being snubbed, that there's something wrong between the two of them, and will discuss it with everyone else EXCEPT that woman endlessly, rather than just simply call her up so see what's going on. As far as I can see, women's most common hobby is to talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. And it's often to no particular end, just to talk. It was one of the things that made me realize that I'm not even close to being a real female inside; I have no feminine communication styles or activities. None.

Like was raised in the country so all that stuff, except NASCAR, has been part of my life. I do see quite a few women, but maybe in my hometown these were the main social events, with little else to do. People just show up!

Why put a gender on it? If there is one thing being a CD has taught me, its that, what you do is what you like to do.

I rather like mixing things up anyway...For example...It's a saturday, thus there's good college football on...and I'm watching the game with a glass of red wine and a dark chocolate. :)

Best of both worlds :)

Not just you Erica.... anything you can stereotype under "guy" activities, with the exception of NASCAR or baseball, I pretty much enjoy! Last week I found a camo skirt on sale and thought it was the perfect expression (I'm also trying to make the wife see that camo dresses and skirts are the in thing right now so she'll sell them online).

Gosh, here I was thinking I was a freak: A cross dressing ,mature gamer with bi tendancies....so glad there are other gals who like gaming too. We should start a guild or something.

If anyone is interested, I'm on XBL. PM me for my GT and we can have a fun night sometime, even if it's just a bit of chit chat while playing.

I definitely have to agree with Dalva and Heather in Hose abour gaming and dressing lol.

I love gaming on the Xbox and often do a double take with myself, remembering when I shuffle in my seat with numb legs that I am in a dress and stockings haha.

Is it just me? I’m kind of wondering if any other gurls here including gg's enjoy typical guy activities?

I tend to go for the cultural things these days. I went to a Kansas City Royals game a few years ago, which may represent my last “dip” into typical guy activities, but, back at home and out of sight, I watch plenty of violent movies, play violent video games, and generally think in terms of extremes. I understand “guy” activities more these days, so I feel more at ease with them...

I must admit I've never been to a tractor pull, but I've watched them on TV...:)
