Well I did have a gender therapist for a short time, but long story short, she bailed on me... And it recently occurred to me that I've apparently devised my own therapy program! The funny thing is, that was actually not my original intention. I simply did stuff to make me feel better...

Okay! First off, I typically sleep with my stuffed animals as they make me feel safe. I also tend to watch cartoons sometimes as that makes me feel good. For instance, I'm into My Little Pony and Courage the Cowardly Dog right now. I also have what I call a "transgender diary" that I typically write in at least once a day now. And an FtM on another site recommended a special gender workbook for me to use to figure some stuff out about myself and I also work with that about once a day now as well...

Anyway, the therapy program appears to be working as I don't feel suicidal anymore and I don't cry myself to sleep nearly as often as I used to. I guess you can say that I was in a "bad place" before, but I sometimes catch myself actually smiling now! And say what you will, but you can't argue with success! Taking the day off for the sabbat presently though... Think I'll go take a nap with mys stuffed animals...

All I can say is thank God for trained therapists.

Therapists can get overwhelmed because they're human too.. I'm glad you found a solution Betty. Have a nice nap.:)

Do whatever works for you, Betty. However, keep an open mind about therapist. They can really help when you need them to help sort out the more complicated issues in this life.

Yeah I talked it over with some trans folk online that I know (I'm not alone?) and from what they're telling me, she was an unprofessional coward and that I may consider getting a new therapist later at some point... I actually did find someone else online that comes highly recommended and I also found a social worker here in town and so I just may consider looking into that in the not incredibly distant future...

That workbook, is it "My Gender Workbook" by Kate Bornstein? It's been recommended a couple times though I haven't picked up a copy yet. Curious if that's the one you have and what your thoughts are.

Also, MLP is fun. Pinkie Pie is my favourite character from it. :)
