Here's something strange... over a week ago, my wife and I went to a crossdresser support group's potluck. Last night, she quizzed me on what people were wearing and I remembered everything: Clothing, hair color and style, glasses or not, etc.

In guy mode, I pay no attention whatsoever to this. I couldn't tell you what my coworkers were wearing three days ago.

Anyone else become much more observant about these sorts of things when cross-dressed?

I agree with you! I have learned much by observing other woman!!

I first met my wife 44 years ago and the other day were talking and she couldn't remember what she was wearing the first time we met but I could. If someone catches my eye in either mode I will take note and remember details. I have noticed however that if I am in girl mode instead of just looking I look more at like what would that look like on me, or I wonder if they have that in my size.

Yes, and it's because you/we pay attention to something we are truly interested in and important to us, I hope your wife realizes this. It's also nice to hear that she cares enough to go with you to a cd group. That being said it would be nice if the two of you could start enjoying things together with you dressed to what you are both O.K. with such as girl shopping, dinner, movie, travel that would add to the closeness of your marriage.

Nope, nothing different in either mode. Then again, I may have an unfair advantage, having been in Intel and a detective.:battingeyelashes::)

The only thing at a specialist event is you do notice things appertaining to the event.

I am a very observant person in general regardless of what I am wearing. If anything I am more paranoid in femme than drab.

Not me...I pretty much note everything daily. I'm just observant and find it a good way to keep my mind active.

Tina has a different set of priorities about what is important. I've very observant in both modes, but my guy side has little interest in the details that Tina finds fascinating, and the reverse is true for Tina.

I usually remember what women were wearing, but almost never the men. I found that this tended to creep women out. I'd say something like, " oh yes, I saw you walking down the street last week, and you were wearing a purple teeshirt and tan slacks." Then they'd give me a weird look and clam up. So, I quit mentioning their clothes.

I guess it's because we love women's clothing. I think we'll all agree that being dressed brings the best out in us.

Spot on! I can really relate to this, as it's allmost the same. After I started crossdressing i've found myself looking at womens outfits, there movement etc etc a lot more than I used to...
