I don't mean to snoop but does your wife know and does she accept?

What are you wearing?

Unfortunately, if it were me, I would get in a nightgown, grab some vanilla ice cream [I know...women love chocolate], snuggle up with my dog on the sofa and watch Steel Magnolias.

Kisses....

Hi Marla

Sorry you got the blues, but they go away. Hope you have a good night.

Hi Marla,

I am glad you had some time to be yourself. Did you feel better while you were dressed?

Hey, thanks for the nice thoughts and the kind words. We all have evenings like this, I imagine. Not too great, but not too bad. Might be stress, might be some other stuff, too. But overall things are good right now, so no complaints. Just a little blue, that's all.

Well I'd already turned the lights out, almost gone to sleep
When a little voice inside me asked, are you all you thought you'd be?

This late night singing's just like dreaming,
More like talking to yourself
I don't find many answers, but the music seems to help.

It's just a blue mood I'm in, comes every now and then
It's the kind that softly knocks you down to your knees
But it's gonna pass in time, in a day or two, well, I'll be fine
Just tonight those blues got the last ol' laugh on me.

Hi Marla,

Whenever I get a little blue, I say something like "I guess it's my bio-rhythms" -- or some such nonsense! When the blues come a callin', just hang on and things will be looking brighter before you know it. Besides, you have all of us here to help you feel better. We're your cyber friends!

Hugs and hope the blues leave soon...

Maybe it's the after Chritmas let down, I think we all feel it a little.Reminds of the country christmas song: "Grandma got run over my a rain-deer, coming home on Christmas eve." Don't be blue honey, or I'll " Have tears in my ears, lying on my back crying over you."

Love,

Charlene Marie

Isn't it amazing how putting on a favorite outfit can change your whole mood? I always get the blues this time of year, so I have a whole list of things I do to cheer myself up and dressing the part certainly helps.

Hope the sun comes out again soon - meanwhile, do whatever makes you happy. :)

There are many threads relating to the relationship between dressing and various levels of depression. You cant ignore it, but, as the other girls have said, you have friends, here and elsewhere. Have a good hot bubble bath, shave your legs, put on your favourite nightie, go to bed. Tomorrow you will see that this was not a downer. Chin up!
