Transformation help in Seattle

I am new to the forum and was looking for help with makeup and wigs. Does anyone know of any services geared this way in the Seattle area?

Check out The Emerald Fantasy. http://www.emeraldfantasy.com/ It is a full transformation service so a bit pricey.

Most wig shops will do a wig fitting at a nominal cost which is usually waived if you buy a wig. Makeup lessons can be all over the place. Most full service cosmetic counters will do a makeover with a basic lesson for a fairly low cost (usually in the form of a minimum purchase of product). A Google or similar search will find some private makeup lessons or classes in Seattle. I suspect the cost is not super low. Any of these places will require outing yourself, but most will not care as long as you a paying customer. If you want to stay with CD/TG specific businesses, their costs are usually higher than mainstream businesses due to the targeted and smaller potential client list.

Thank you for your insight. For now I do want to stay within the CD/TG specific business. I was hoping someone on this forum from the Seattle area would know and post specifics.

Hi,

I see you prefer to stay within a CD/TG specific business, I am not aware of any in Seattle. But, I know that the U Village MAC store is awesome at helping with makeup. They will do a somewhat private makeover/tutorial session for $50. Also, for wigs, Hair Options in Greenwood and Master Hair Care in Federal Way both support the CD/TG community. If you can make it down to Portland you can check Over the Rainbow (http://www.victoriasrainbow.tv/). You might also want to check with the Emerald City Social Club (http://www.theemeraldcity.org/) to see if they know of any other Seattle area resources.
