This is more a lounge type question but the subject matter is disallowed.
In the UK there is a TV programme "Keeping up Appearances" about a would be aristocratic? lady.

How many here pass themselves off in a similar way?
How many think they pass themselves off better as her sister Rose.

I'm more of an Onslow - scruffy and common!

I'm more like Ado Annie from "Oklahoma" than I am Hyacinth Bev. :heehee::)

I think I'm a bit more like Hyacinth's son Sheridan :D

I would say I'm closer to Hyacinth than any of them! Mature, always smartly turned out and, of course, always firmly girdled as I'm sure she is :-)

How about Violet, the sister with the large house, the large yard, the horses, and the expensive car? Of course, then I would have to put up with someone borrowing my clothes. BTW, is Violet ever seen?
Maybe when I was younger I would have been Rose as the short skirts were me.

I'm definitely Onslow when in drab, and Daisy when en femme.

I tell my wife that Onslow is my role model. I admit that I have to feel sorry for poor Richard. He has served so many years and doesn't even have a chance for parole.

I'm more of a Diana Trent ( Waiting for God ) or possibly Tom Ballard when my feminine aspects aren't so active.

My wife has some Hyacinth properties, but a lot more style without the outlandish wardrobe. And I would be the Elizabeth/Richard according to attire at the time. We have had this ongoing comparison and joke for years now. It was her favorite comedy and we still watch it.
