Hi, I'm in southern NH and would like to find a support group to go to. If any one knows of one I could get to that would be a BIG help. Also would showing up looking very male be inappropriate ( I'm rather furry and look like a biker out of a movie.) I,m very new to the concept of xdressing and moving slow.

my therapist told me people go to transgender or crossdressing support groups looking all sorts of different ways and that they are typically very accepting groups of however you look... unfortunately i haven't gotten up the courage to try going to one though so i would be interested to hear from those who attend them also Kristy...

A web search engine search (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) will usually find groups in your area. For example, "manchester new hampshire transgender" in Google found a number of groups and organizations. Most support and social groups will be closer to the larger cities so you may have to drive some distance to get to them. Also, try Meetup groups ( www.meetup.com (http://www.meetup.com) ) and search for the location and area of interest.

Once you find some possibilities, check them out and see which one best suits you. Groups are different so it may take a few tries to find one that you like. Keeping trying. There are probably others a lot like you out there looking for friends and support. If you cannot find anything, why not start your own meet up group?
