I've grown so much since joining this forum, it's really helped me begin to sort things out in my head about who I am, as well as to improve my presentation. I've both given and received great advice on issues such as psychological, behavioral, clothes, makeup, wigs, shopping, neighbors, acceptance, and more that are related to CD and TG issues.

I have been on the forum for years but I don't believe I have ever seen how it got started and how it stays in existence. Whatever the story thank you so much. It has meant much over the years.

At first I thought it was a little to clean but then realized its a good way to keep the garbage out. It's real people with the same problems, I found out we all dress for different reasons but all pretty much have the same problems. This site has really helped me out and made me more complete. When you post something the response seem very honest and usually from a person who has lived it or just getting a outside point of view. I hope you enjoy it here and don't be afraid to ask anything and most of all just enjoy it. Looking forward to hearing from you in the future.

Heather,
I would also say a big thanks to those that box our ears when we step out of line.
This makes the site what it is for us.

Yes I agree it is a great place. I would be very interested in seeing a history of how this site started and developed. It would be so interesting! When did it start, who started it and why, what was the membership growth like, are the ones who started it still around?

As to your post Heather, welcome to the forum!!!!!! Yes, this is a well run site that is safe for us girls to share ideas and get opinions from others who TRULY understand. I have grown so much in the last 6 months I still find it hard to believe.....Make up and shape-wear have made a total difference in my presentation, I even became inspired enough to lose 30 lbs......I hope your journey is just as enjoyable.........K

I joined this forum when it was in a state of....erm...transition. :) It was certainly not what you see today.
It has had a LOT of growing pains over the years. I know because I was one of the biggest pains. There was a lot of discussion/argument/tantrums about what direction it should take. Sometimes the changes worked, sometimes they didn't. Which lead to discussions/arguments/tantrums.
But I can honestly say it is now the best TG forum I have ever been thrown out of.

What? What now?

It is a nice community Heather. So happy you make it to the 10 post finish line. Things pick up considerably beyond that milestone.

Yes, the admins are great, even if they dock me periodically for oopsies in the rules. Heck, no one's perfect. Well, with the exception of the trolls here.

Have fun.

Hugs, Robin

It was started by the site owner Jay (he's in the forum leaders list), he's my boss and we had the first admin join 02-18-2004. I joined May 2004 and took over as an admin in Sept 2005. Now I'm a senior admin and basically run the whole thing, which means I get to crack the :dom: haha :D I couldn't do it without my co-admin Sandra and all the wonderful staff :D

When I took over, we had just over 5 thousand members, we've actually had over 100,000 people register, but we do delete accounts after a year that aren't used :) I think we're doing pretty well :) 8 years I've been an admin now, time flies!!

The Waaaay Back machine.
A little more research for me.
My hobby, finding the changing attitudes of society over the years.
The English language and how it has changed even in the last "five" years.
Texting is the new shorthand.
Pitmans should write a course for that now.
How fifties pornography has turned into todays fashion photography.
Another hobby of mine is X dressing. :)

I joined this site in early 2009, then discovered myself along the way, annoyed a few people, and became what I am now.....half this/half that. Yeah, I wear dresses in public, so what?
peace & love.

I want to add my thanks to list for having this site and having it run the way it is. I found this site not all that long ago and have been ever so greatful that I did. It's so refreshing to come here and have place that is "clean" and honest and not like nearly all the sites you get when you a search for "crossdresser" on the net. I was so tied fo all the sexually explicit sites and the ones wanting to sell me something I didn't need.

What I found here was a place filled with freindly helpful people who are supportive and not judgemental. Reading the posts on this site have made me so much more comfortable with who I am and made it clear that there are places I can go and be open with who I am.

A big thank you from me as well! I enjoyed the wayback link posted there.

Since I've retired this has been home away from home for me. I joined after seeing it was a clean site without people looking for sex and hookups. I was just interested in people like myself.

I would like to add my appreciation for this site. It's well run and organised and the moderators are doing a great job in keeping it that way.

Even though I'm in a minority here (I don't try to pass as a woman) I fell quite at home here.

I really enjoy reading the stories even though most of them do not concern my lifestyle and preferences. It's an eye-opener on the variety of crossdressers and their behaviour. If a post is completely out of range of my even perfunctory interests, I skip it and move on to the next.

Before I joined this forum I was aware of many differences in crossdressing (I read a lot on the subject) but this forum opened my eyes to the immense diversification of crossdressers. Just about everyone is different. Some have common traits, bur not the others. I found several people who seem like me, but again not exactly. Many are just the opposite of what I am and like things that I do not. etc.etc. In a nutshell, It's a great meeting place for people, who may be varied but have one common underlining interest: Crosdressing.

Have a nice autumn and keep posting!

No two people are going to be exactly alike. It's very normal to find people who are similar in some ways, completely opposite in others, and something else in yet others. Enjoy your stay!!!
