It is a huge step, one I am sure you have given a lot of thought and time to consider. You found the courage to follow your path, others hopefully will find the courage to walk with you on the journey. Your daughter will come to terms, even though untimely, you must have known this would come. Follow your plan, it will make things easier on everyone.
