I saw a news story yesterday on ari south, a TG model on Project Runway. She is lovely, but at the time I read the story, it had 730 comments--most of them vile, hateful, homophobic, and even angry. What the hell are these people afraid of? Why are they so threatened? No, I don't expect an answer. But anyone who thinks that society had made much progress toward being open-minded about differences, think again. The human race still has a long way to go, despite any progress we may have made.

It probably does not need comment.
It is something we have to live with.
If someone makes a negative comment about anything others will follow likewise.
A positive comment will illicit mostly positive comments.
People go with the flow I am afraid.

So did you really expect enlightened comments from the American public? Fear of the unknown is pretty much universal.

The human race definitely needs to be re-tooled with a new paradigm. That is in the works when the current "reality" program winds down. :)
