Relax and enjoy yourself. Then go out again on November 1st.

Assuming you are off to a party to which other 'dressed' people are going, there is absolutely nothing to fear and lots to get excited about.

Unless you've practiced a lot I'd not drive there in heels. Far better to have 'Bags' the chauffeur park the Bentley by the front door of the venue, come round and hold the rear door open for you to 'Make your entrance' so to speak.

Have lots of fun....

Make it look like you are having a hard time walking in heels.
I went to a Halloween party once as an old lady, and I walked too good in the heels.
people had questions. :heehee:

I love heels, and I can walk in them pretty good. After halloween, I was invited to attend the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I been there once as a male but it wasn't that fun for me, so I am curious on how this year will go.

Make a list for when you leave. It should go something like:
1. Remember pictures
2. Remember ID.
3. Smile and have fun!

Just go out and show others what you can do.
Impress them.
I do.

In the past years, i didnt dress up, havent done so since i was maybe 10-12. Plus i havent picked out a costume yet, as far as I am aware, im just going to be wearing everyday wear. If anyone has any quick solutions, it would be appreciated.

Consider wearing a lanyard with cash and your car key in it. You might lose a purse. You probably won't have pockets.

Don't over think things. Try to feel relaxed and comfortable. Exude confidence. You will find that it will get easier as you go. :-)

Don't be nervous. Rather, enjoy the day. Nervousness just ruins it for you.

The first time I ever went out in female mode was halloween was 3 years ago ! very exhilarating i still get the same feeling every time i go out now. it just gets easier to leave the house quicker. Hope you have tons of fun ! ;)

Every year, for as long as I can remember, I always have "plans" to finally try and get out of the house on Halloween as Desirae but it hasn't happened, yet. Why is it Halloween for so many of us? Anyway, I always plan to get together everything I need, probably venturing up to Janet's Closet (no affiliation) in Michigan which is only an hour drive for me. I just always thought that would be a good time to get out for the first time and be able to venture out with a few other girls somewhere. It's not happening this year. Maybe next year. I should shoot for that. Does it have to be Halloween? How about New Years? Does it have to be on some special day?

Anyway, have a great time Liz. The first time for everything is usually best if you let it be so. Hopefully, I'll get my first time, too, in the not so distant future.

Every year I have great plans and normally have an outfit in mind. Then about a day before I chicken out! Two days after Halloween I get mad at myself. This had just been my routine for about the last 5 years.

Maybe I will be able to go out dressed when my kids are out of the house because they all know since I was a kid I hated getting dressed for Halloween. when I was younger and friends would have party's I would never dress in any thing but blue jeans and a black t-shirt. I would tell everybody that I was a bruise.

My advice... pick a female character and be her. Halloween is a day for costumes, not so much for being yourself. It is a great way to let people see a female version of yourself, however, to remove shock value later on. It is a great time to have fun and to show people around you how much fun you can be. You don't want it to be a discussion on your lifetime of bad feelings etc... you want people to be happy, to remember you like that. Later on, you do the heavy lifting if its required.

Hmm, I think I'm going to do this this year as well. I already go to gay bars dressed if I have nothing going on Saturday nights.

Halloween is during the week though....I guess people will be going out Thursday?

Thanks for all the replies and support ladies :) I'm probably not gonna wear a costume this year, maybe just something formal like a dress.
