Or, at least I thought it was interesting.... I saw the movie last night, and was surprised that I liked it as much as I did.....
Very small subplot about crossdressers, or more accurately, drag queens... One of the guys meets a queen and soon is talking with her friends.... Usual schlock for comedic effect, but I didn't find it demeaning, really. Later on...the same guy (Kevin Kline) runs into the queen who is in male mode with his wife (and you get the idea they are a happy couple who share this lifestyle together.....). It's very brief, but I have to wonder why it's even in the movie - totally spurious - unless somebody was trying to make a statement....... And even though it was a little unrealistic - (perhaps confusing drag queens with crossdressers? ) I thought it was a positive view of those of us who wear a dress from time to time...............

Just some thoughts..... Hugs, Dea

Maybe someone with a bent for dressing, an in house joke or thought by the writers.
Remember actors are really a queer lot.
That is the profession.
