Funny oops today.

I was out and about today. Wife had a maid come in to help her clean the house. Normally I keep up with the tidal ebb and flow of familial detritus but stuff accumulates. Both did an excellent job. I am not "Out" per se but I don't necessarily hide my alternate fashion sense. Although out of habit I have, out of respect for her past concerns, swept the house to remove evidence. Didn't do a very good job, this time. So I come home and all my shoes are lined up nicely on my side of the room. Workboots, crap shoes, running shoes right alongside my heels and flats. My foot size is 5+ sizes bigger than wife's, so there was no mistaken whose these were.

Wife was there and relayed only comments concerning the size of said bunnies under the bed. The dust bunnies barricaded themselves using the shoes to augment their bunker. There might've been a rumor of a countercharge...

Apparently it was a non-issue, as it should be. I can't help but wonder how far we've come as a couple that she doesn't care or mind anymore and neither do I and, of course, the professionalism of the maid.

Another concern invalidated.

You don't have an avatar, so do you want to make the shoes your avatar, so we'll see how they look?

Your maid is probably thinking "It's not my job to ask questions." Or maybe she's still talking about your choice in shoes ;)

The maid told me she wanted to keep her job. :)

I've had similar issues where my stuff had been left out when our cleaner came round. She's a friend of my sister-in-law (who knows about me) so she may be well aware of me anyway.

My worst case was in a hotel room, after a photo session I'd done the night before. As I got into bed, there was a pair of lacey knickers strategically placed under my pillow. Eek :heehee:. Good job they were clean, poor girl!

Hi Marcy,

It really does sound like a non-issue. I am sure the maid has seen lots of things that made her go HUH? It is great to hear you wife saw it as a non issue.

Perhaps the maid thought, "What? Does EVERY guy in town do this?!?" :)

Maids see a lot of stuff and most would know better than to say anything about it.

She probably went home and told her husband though.

The maid my have wondered if your shoes would fit her husband. And for an avatar, have you considered dust bunnies?
